First time I’ve seen uc tell someone no, did u tell them it’s late because you only just got decision letter with date and award on cause they know full well these things don’t happen over night…they taking the mick there hope u get it sorted!!

Wow thats so long, they do seem to be being much quicker with new claims since about summer last year. Thankyou so much, hoping you get the decision your child deserves 🥰x

Of course. It was 26/4. I was surprised to hear back so early. I was worried as I could see others from the same date had already heard but I guess it’s the luck of the draw

Called and was told it could be another 6 weeks

No way! I had a random call yesterday at 4pm from decision maker, she asked me a question I left off form and said she was finalising it last night and decision letter sent out today. So I was cheeky and called this morning and they told me outcome and payment dates etc! Fingers crossed for you. Maybe it was the person you spoke to you? I’d call back and try again xx

Any Mrs done recently

Renewal done yesterday for 2/4, added LRM to my sons HRC, will be doing an MR as I had lots of supporting evidence for HRM under SMI and from what the guy on the phone read out they didn’t even consider it under this, just under VUW criteria. Not happy at the prospect of doing an MR but I was fully expecting it. The guy said all the reasons will be in the letter but I thought this was something I could request separately,
does anyone know? Also can I request an MR over the phone and then send a written letter in and any further evidence or does it all have to be done via letter? TIA

Got told my renewal is with a decision maker, how long does that usually take? Thanks x

Thanks I will call and ask to do that, not really sure what else I could send them anyway I sent so much already and they’ve obviously ignored it all

Just called up and my mr scan date 20/8 was a decision yesterday changed from mrc to hrc

Aww congratulations. Im the 26th August. Phoned up Wednesday to see if I had time to send anything else off. The lady told me she would try get someone to look at my claim soon as it had been 6 months. Did they phone you to ask you any questions.?

Thank you and No I had nothing was convinced we wernt gunna win anyway but my friend said better to call up see if there’s any updates called option 4 man was lovely straight up told me everything within 4 minutes of answering the call

Aww thats really good. How old is your child if you dont mind me asking. Iv put in for MR as awarded MRC and LRM. I have sent so much in now and an actual diagnosis aswell since the original decision. But I honestly dont have much hope.

He turned 3 last week he’s none verbal sleeps 2 hours a day doesn’t eat can be violent and doesn’t recognise danger (has previously tried to get into someone’s car outside the shop my older child who’s 5 on Monday gets hrc as she also doesn’t sleep but she isn’t as bad as him

are you under a sleep clinic or anything

So I have 2 children claiming DLA first son was 3 when I applied got awarded HRC he's litrally doesn't sleep waiting for diagnosis for autism still waiting hes 5 this year. But did MR for hrm got declined did a tribunal for him but they changed there minds and awarded him before tribunal couldn't believe it as hes the same no danger awareness doesnt walk wont go in pushchair or trolly as to scared but has an obsession with toilets and will go in every shop to flush it and playing with taps and if there closed melt down I cant even get him back to the car. My other son is 9 he had tourettes and adhd and waiting for autism diagnosis. He doesn't sleep no medication works for sleep or tourettes or adhd harms himself when upset. Gets muscle aches from tic and cry and cant control them when we are out I have to hold him to calm him down as he will just go crazy with tics. Will cry every night in pain. Honestly I cant go out on my own with my children I have to take someone else with me because I physically cant look after them on my own safety. But I just have a strong feeling my 9 year old will get declined.

My dr told me there wasnt any point in referring my children to sleep clinics and there isn't any local. I honestly would travel anywhere for some support. Im still breastfeeding my 4 year old to sleep. Drs just congratulate me instead of supporting me to stop but because hes non verbal in a world of his own litrally doesn't sleep i just cant do it. I feel hes going to be 18 before he stops 😅

I would have a google see if you can find sleep clinics in your area as I’m in Norfolk they do them I referred my child myself because wait lists for appointments are so long mabey there is something in your area

Ah I know! I’d defo call again on Monday, I spoke to someone the day before and I’m sure they was reading off a script, “nowhere near yet, it hasn’t been that long, we can’t give you time frame etc” then I got a call off a dm the next afternoon and called for the award amount this morning. Try again on Monday hopefully you get someone more helpful xx
