hi all, I hope someone can answer my questions please? I currently receive DLA for my 2 children MRC and LRM for both, but it was only for 1.5 years and ends in october 2026.
I was told new forms would be sent to me when i need to re-apply... so if i did re-apply would it be classed as a "new claim" again? and if it takes many months to be approved, and it goes past october 2026 when i get the last payment, will i be backdated if it gets approved again? im unsure how it works when you re-apply.?.. thanks

Hi, you should get renewal forms sent out to you about 4/5 months before they are due to run out, you complete it/ them and send them back in plenty of time before your current claim runs out. You need to put as much detail as you can just like you did with original forms. If you do not get the renewal forms ring up DLA to say you need them sending out.

decision was made on 24/04/26, no payments so looks like we’re off to tribunal! 🥲

Positive update!. NC SD 30/3 . Just rang for an update. Awarded MRC and LRM till march 2028!! Im astounded we were awarded as i had no evidence other than a sensory survery and proof of right to choose pathway refural!! Was awarded on friday last week not backdated thanks to royal mail taking their time and the freepost bit im so happy for my son!! Good luck all

I have been waiting for a hearing date since 17/06/2025.
It depends on the area u are.
Yes ,it's taking a very long time and also,it took dwp 4 month to reply to the court and sent out the bundles.x

Any movement on MR decisions are we in October SD now or still no real order?

Hi Thanks for the reply. Thats a very long wait I’ve just had a response saying they have received the bundle so looks like another few months originally lodged the appeals Nov 2025 and another in Jan 2026.

Mr done 27th of October been with decision maker since the 25th of April called today still no. Decision exhausted

Yep, MR SD 23rd sept, been with DM since 5th April, as of last week still no decision made

You’d think there would be some kind of date order system but it certainly doesn’t seem like it for mine

Apparently a Decision maker is going to call me today I highly doubt it as they where supposed to call me back last Tuesday just so tiring on top of everything else to deal with fighting for a autism assessment for. My 5 year old son begged health visitor doctor and hospital for help to just get no where he's not in school he bit his 17 year old brother yesterday and drew blood also hitting himself alot as I have to keep him safe from himself it's so sad to. See but just can't get any help I'm exhausted he does not sleep well at all I'm running on empty Hope we get answers soon
