Hi, our SD was 16th October still waiting. Do you know how long the payment will take if they agree, did they say?

Hi everyone does anyone know how long UC are taking to Verify child

Nidfor · 16/04/2026 11:41

Hello, we need to do an MR but not sure whether to call up or do it via post. We’ve been declined HRC because they said we should use incontinence aids over night so we don’t have to care overnight (my daughter is on bowel medications and already uses nappies but we can’t leave her in poo all night so have to change her multiple times throughout the night). I’m surprised they think that’s a good enough reason to decline the night time care just to leave her in 💩 (we have MRC so day needs satisfied). Other than getting our nurse to write a letter saying someone shouldn’t be left for 8 hours in poo due to infection risk etc I don’t know what else I can say because it seems such nonsense and surely common sense. Anybody been given this reason before? And what’s best to submit MR phone or letter? I’m thinking letter but any advice appreciated x

So the decision maker actually called me at 5.15pm Tuesday night to confirm my bank details as it’s a large sum payment and processed it there and then and it still not in my bank she said 3-5 working days xx

Hannahkate90 · 16/04/2026 11:56

@Nidfor hi don't know if this will help my daughter is also in similar position also incontinent of urine and has been on highrate care for 3 years, given what they've put as reason I would ask speak too manager and someone too look at it again as soon as possible (revision of evidence not looked at properly as aids were clearly stated and that's main reason of decline) it's very contradictory nappies are an incontinence aid as far as what I'm aware and was put on my daughters statement of reasons plus assisted multiple times a night and under local B&Bladder team should be enough nappies were accepted as aids. I recently had same problem with her MR for HRM due to other complex issues and spoke too 2 team leaders as they messed claim about for 6 months and half evidence which was crucial was missed in same letter other evidence was used for decison they overturned it faster due to contradictions in statement and error of not reading it properly at time of decision hope this helps and good luck.

Lissac86 · 16/04/2026 15:06

Some mr have been done from 20th and 23rd oct but sure i saw someone still waiting from 16th oct. Is it not done in date order?

Chloe1233 · 15/04/2026 16:46

Really all i filled out what the mobility part

You can claim mobility from the age of 3.

In theory they could bring up the whole award to re-evaluate it but its highly unlikely. The form has a tick box to say mobility only so I wouldn't worry.

Thank you! It’s like they expect me to leave her soiled all night every night and to ‘just use nappies’ that we do anyway and leave her at risk of infection etc it’s crazy. Thank you for your help much appreciated 😊 x

Hello,
waiting on a MR SD 21/10/25. Such a frustrating wait, especially when later dates get processed sooner. 😫

BananaPudding12 · 18/04/2026 10:20

Has anyone heard for a NC recently? My SD is 20th March. Thanks x

Mummyof8sweeties · 18/04/2026 13:54

NC SD 31/03. Rang last week told about a 4-5 week wait as they are getting through them very quickly. Not golding out much hope of being awarded as I had no evidence as currently waiting on cahms and child development center only had my sons sensory questionnaire that was filled out by our family support worker .

Yes im 23rd and some for that date have been done but someone from 16th hasnt. I did read they are trying not to go over 25 weeks hopefully its soon. I rang friday its still in the queue. So long i waitinf 26 weeks for coc now another 24 for mr

Ac100 · 19/04/2026 21:45

I’m coming into week 32 now sent MR off 10/09/26. I have called weekly and had the exact same answer. Does it go by the date it’s scanned in or the date they received the MR form. I remember back in October I rang as didn’t hear nothing of the receiving and the lady said we will scan I through for you now. So is my date from the day she scanned it in. It’s all so confusing. It’s been such a long wait of 32 weeks and lots of people on here hearing back from October now. Any help is appreciated x
