MR Scan Date 19/09/25, He was awarded MRC and LRM at renewal, I was appealing MRC - Had a call today confirming details. I only asked for care rate to be looked into as I felt I didn’t have enough evidence for mobility. The woman on the phone today asked a few questions about night time needs, didn’t mention care rate however she said that she believes my son qualified for HRM under SMI, so that means the HRC must of been accepted! She said expect back pay in next 5 days and letter in the next 7-10. Got a better answer than I was ever hoping for and am so relieved that this is the end of it for now! Good luck to everyone else.

Yes, i did this my COC got declined on the 29th of december sent in late evidence end of January. My daughter was awarded for 3 years and went from MRC to HRC xx

How long did you wait for the decision make to look at the extra evidence ? I send mine in but was scanned after the decision was made, was advised they have emailed him to ask to look at the new evidence but no time frame. Xx

JimsBeam · 31/03/2026 20:50

NC scan date 25/02 payment pending in my bank for Friday. Can’t believe how fast it was. Think we will be going for MR as seems like it’s low care low mobility but will wait for letter first. Good luck everyone! X

Fingers crossed you wont have to wait much longer i know the wait is painful. Ive put my COC but to be honest im not hopepful it will change anything as my DD already recieves MRC and standard mobility and i know for sure that in order to be awarder enhanced rate she needs to have night time needs which really doesnt apply to her so im probably just wasting their time for my COC but we shall see. Keep us upadated on your claim xx

Hey, I received payment today called up he had been awarded LM and stayed the same for MC, but I had sent extra evidence in for night time needs and she advised the decision was made before it was scanned so she has emailed and asked him to re look at the claim. Instead of MR. But couldnt advise how long this can take. 🤞🏻 bot as long. Hope you hear soon xx

Hi everyone, thought I would join. I posted my son's renewal today that is due the end of July and a new claim for my daughter. Will keep you all updated. My son currently receives middle rate care and low rate mobility so I'm hoping for the same...

Can anyone advise, I’m starting to wonder if there’s been some kind of mix up because I’ve never received a decision from them so fast.

My daughter renewal is up at the end of May and I received the forms back in January. Didn’t have time to get them properly filled in until mid March when I sent them off. Usually it takes months to get a decision so I wasn’t expecting anything until the week her award was up if I’m honest. Lo and behold I got two letters last week, one stating they received the forms and another saying the award was extended. I’ve never had it come back this quickly before and I’m genuinely concerned that maybe there’s been an error!

Is anyone else with a January NC date still waiting? I sent my daughters NC January 27th signed for and then heard nothing at all from them - no text or letter to say they got it. I ended up calling about a month later and they confirmed they received it January 28th but she didn’t say if it had been scanned or anything. I’m already seeing lots of people with March dates for NC getting decisions so starting to get a bit nervous that something has gone wrong on their end 😩

If they said received 28th then that would be your SD. I would give them a call again, most NC are quick atm from what I've seen taking 5-7weeks, good luck 🙏

According to Ai, at 30 weeks MR waiting so far, even though we always had a very strong case with ours EHCP and piles of evidence for our autistic non verbal 9 year old sons with COC to HRM, only 20% of decisions are changed even at MR stage. Ai is advising me to mentally prepare for a Tribunal and the waiting game as it will get most likely be rejected again, the evidence is only really read page by page at tribunal level.

I’ve mentally prepared for tribunal, my outlook is I’ve got nothing to lose, it doesn’t cost me anything, the long wait is frustrating though.

renewal
Those who made the mistake of not sending recorded like me;
forms sent 27th feb
scanned 18th march
decision made 31st March

they couldn't tell me over phone said I have to wait for letter

Mummyof8sweeties · 02/04/2026 10:14

Hi got a strange one here hope someone can help. So I requested new claim forms for my son at the beginning of febuary 2026. Sent them off on the 12th of march cut off date was the 21st/22rd I didnt do any signed for post (I regret that now) . Rang up on the 23rd of march to be told they had not been recieved and they were sending new forms out but to ring back on the Friday 27th just to see if they had been recieved yet again on Friday they told me they had not been recieved and sent new forms out again after telling them i was waiting to recieve new forms. On the 31st I recieved a text from DLA telling me they had recieved my forms and would give a decision within 25 weeks. I rang this morning to make sure they had indeed recieved them to be told that they have not recieved them still . So im slightly confussed? Why would I recieved a text saying they had recieved the forms randomly but their system is clearly showing they havent ? Also im slightly worried that i only got the text in the 31st of march and the cut off date was just over a week before the text? Can anyone shed some light? Thankyou

Mylittleones2 · 02/04/2026 10:57

hi if u ring and choose option 1514 they tell you instead of 1512 x
