SD = Scan date
NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
CoC = Change of circumstances
LRC = low rate care
MRC = medium rate care
HRC = high rate care
LRM = low rate mobility
HRM = high rate mobility

This is a page where we are all in the same boat, trying to win what our children deserve, please be kind and support one another, we all have enough stress without adding to it 😁

Omg really? On here?

I have waited 8 months and wouldn’t dream of taking anything out on you about it so I have no idea why they think it’s acceptable!!

like you said it’s how DWP process it, if your accepted later you will get it backpaid and if your accepted sooner you won’t need it. Both cases your child is still getting DLA! Some people are so strange sorry x

on another site I’ve came of that one , also when I posted my positive post on here there was a comment from someone stating it wasn’t right or fair there SD was in Feb, I just wanted to remind people that support & kindness is what’s needed it’s a very stressful time for everyone, thank u for reaching out , I hope u get awarded soon everything is taking so so long except for NC & I really don’t understand why, I waited 15 weeks last year for my son, this year for my daughter only 11 days it’s ridiculously quick 💛

I’m so sorry, did they give you a reason or told to wait for a letter, I threat for my two kids I got mrc and lrm for both they are autistic, spd, have incontinence and sleep and I always says it’s unfair there rate I know that sounds ungrateful but I work around there care being a single mum and it’s so excessive there sensory requires 9 supervised activities a day, touleting is assisted and walking outside is always hand held and watched one will run off and has serious unconscious stimming and inhalers. I feel sick for renewals because I feel I haven’t sent more than last time because ther system doesn’t care to have persistent interaction with my children and I just have to get on with it and I hear they sometimes go down I feel sick after sending them off.

Oh my goodness, I really feel for you
You do not sound ungrateful you sound like they deserve more!
He started telling me the reasons, one was that at my childs age they should be managing their needs themselves, but they cant. I was absolutely broken as I was so sure this is what we would be entitled to, my child has night time care needs, appointments every 2 weeks, my child has continence issues but apparently isnt entitled. Ive sent off some extra evidence but I'm not hopeful.

I’m sorry to hear that, take no notice and it’s actually so helpful for people with new claims to have updates from you for their claims! All the best x

Don’t lose hope, I think with the extra evidence you will receive what you rightfully deserve, I had my phone call yesterday I’d not ticked a box and she said I have them here and I mentioned ones incontinence care plans came through and she said is it a diagnosis and I was on the way to work so I said I’m not sure & she said maybe send it in with the next renewal and I got home and the care plan says day time wetting and nocturnal enuresis in the diagnosis box so I’m just like do I just send it or leave it because she told me leave it, I had no idea if they’ve both stayed on it yet or the rates they’ve got just a huge waiting game isn’t it x

Our MR scan date was 9th Sept, checked again this week only to be told by what sounded like someone just out of secondary school that it's not been looked at and not to call back again.

You are the same date as mine. As of Friday still in a queue. Please let me know if you hear this week. Good luck x

Eltravador13 · 30/03/2026 06:52

Just adding mine in
MR scan date 23/9/25
called a couple of weeks ago, not with a decision maker. The wait is really starting to get to me now, I’m hoping by the end of April I’ll have a decision

Kits45 · 30/03/2026 08:36

My Mr is the 29/9/25 I haven't bothered calling because it just makes me annoyed I think I'm on week 27 this week I'm only asking for the care rate to be changed from Mrc to hrc as from what I can tell if my day has to start at 3am every day due to my son needing full supervision as he is destructive to himself and the home and fully Incontinent i think it's reasonable to assume he is entitled to hrc but hopefully I'll hear back in April sometime who knows at this point.

Similar time to me then. I’ve appealed both, awarded MRC but they clearly didn’t read the evidence I sent, said my son didn’t have a diagnosis and no night needs identified, despite me sending his autism diagnosis report which clearly states he is awake multiple times a night and needs medication. I have statements from school senco saying how he needs constant adult supervision in school as he has zero danger awareness, constantly has to be on reins as he’s an eloper, letters from the incontinence service as he is still in nappies at night which need changing throughout the night. The amount I sent in was more than enough but they obviously didn’t read it.

Tinxy · 30/03/2026 12:29

So confused. Scan date 17/2 phoned this morning to be told neither applications been successful for then to be told one of the applications has a password on so can not see why no award has been given then to be told on other one that no award but on file says awarded. The one that I have been told is awarded had least evidence or documents to back up what I was saying. Been told they were looked at by same DM so have asked for clarification on what has gone on. Is there a chance that the award had been put on the wrong claim? I will ring again tomorrow to see what is going on. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to hear.

Mum21056 · 30/03/2026 16:41

Hello, I’ve had an update on my kids renewals one has remained the same and the other has gone up to HRC both was MRC. Do I update universal credit for the child element amended for the one that’s gone up? They are starting it 2 months early instead of waiting for her renewal for the one that’s gone up very appreciative. Honestly they both should be on hrc but I’m just so glad at least one has gone up and hopefully next time my other child’s gets what she deserves 💭 still I’m grateful 🙏🏻 I hope everyone hears soon and keeps fighting for what they deserve ❤️❤️

Aye pretty much the same as me I sent them his full ehcp aswell which are notoriously difficult to get and he gets quite alot of funding due to his needs all his pediatrics letters occupational therapy his autism diagnosis his adhd diagnosis bladder and bowel service school letters they basically read none of it I've been doing a sleep diary for the past 2 months with phone activity tome printed off to show I'm actually awake at 3/4am onwards so I can take that if I have to go to tribunal I'm just deflated with it all so I feel exactly the same x

ZedKhan · 30/03/2026 19:13

According to Ai, at 30 weeks MR waiting so far, even though we always had a very strong case with ours EHCP and piles of evidence for our autistic non verbal 9 year old sons with COC to HRM, only 20% of decisions are changed even at MR stage. Ai is advising me to mentally prepare for a Tribunal and the waiting game as it will get most likely be rejected again, the evidence is only really read page by page at tribunal level.
