Have you heard anything yet? My friend is waiting for NC 17/2

I think it might be worth your friend giving them a ring, most NC I've seen are around 5-7 weeks for decision more commonly 5 weeks, also most people get their backpay (if awarded) before they receive decision letter

Yes I would ring I’m a NC SD 09/03 decision made 20/03 back payment received 24/03 💛

now my son has been verified can you please ask a decision maker to back pay the disabled child element that message will then go to a case manager / decision maker 💛

Thank you i will ask her to call up 🤞 I can’t believe how quick these new claims are, I’ve waited 18 weeks in the past for a new claim. I’m glad they’ve finally got the wait times down. Good luck everyone

I know its madness isn't it, I waited around 20weeks 2 years ago so the time difference from then is mental, so much quicker! Hopefully they can change the way they do the MRs people seem to be waiting far too long for them so unfair

NC scan date 18/2 - money went into my account this morning pretty sure my 22 month old son has been awarded middle rate care. I am going to do an MR as I believe it should be high. But every little helps atm so I’ll take that

Yes definitely I waited 32 weeks for a COC recently that was a hard long wait 😵‍💫 but a positive outcome. They seem to be in a good place with keeping new claims at 5 weeks so there is no reason they can’t try to get the MR and COC down now. Still no back pay for my friend today so it’s looking like she’s going to have a call 🤞

Yes I did this hopefully I’m not waiting to long for a decision,can I ask how long did you wait after asking for it to be back dated please x

gdgd & I asked them to backdate it in the morning and got the letter on my journal at 2.30 same day 💛

Oh thats so bad, even though you had the positive outcome which is good but thats over half a year of waiting and the anxiety which comes with that is something else isn't it! Yes deffo get them to call as someone else just posted about backpay and its only a day out from your friend so there's a good chance a decision has been made 🤞🤞

I’ve had a phone call this morning forms received 16/03 both renewals and they are being done now I had to sort two questions on both forms. Soo that’s not even been 2 weeks should get a letter in a week or so I think 💭

Still nothing yet, I haven’t phone since but my MP has emailed them. I think I will call again on Monday and hopefully will have a decision or at least an update by them. So disappointing how long it all takes. Think I might have been better off doing a CoC lol

My COC scan date 3/2 still nothing let’s hope we hear soon and it’s not just the NC timeframe getting changes

Fingers crossed you wont have to wait much longer i know the wait is painful. Ive put my COC but to be honest im not hopepful it will change anything as my DD already recieves MRC and standard mobility and i know for sure that in order to be awarder enhanced rate she needs to have night time needs which really doesnt apply to her so im probably just wasting their time for my COC but we shall see. Keep us upadated on your claim xx

guys NC are taking so quick it’s unreal still be kind with words as it’s not our fault how the DLA approach this , I’ve had abuse online kus my SD 09/03 & decision was made 20/03 - 11days it’s not our fault how they take the forms & deal with them but abuse online is unacceptable- we’re all in the same boat support is what’s needed not petty comments that a SD has been awarded before yourself , the DWP grab a handful and work on their load , please be kind - wishing luck to everyone 💛

I have waited 8 months and wouldn’t dream of taking anything out on you about it so I have no idea why they think it’s acceptable!!

like you said it’s how DWP process it, if your accepted later you will get it backpaid and if your accepted sooner you won’t need it. Both cases your child is still getting DLA! Some people are so strange sorry x
