I didn’t get any texts if I’m honest. I called them to confirm they received it then got a letter with the scan date which is the date they receive it. X

Hi, yes it should be as that’s what happened with me. They received mine (I tracked it) 11/2 and the letter I got states 11/2. They seem to be working through them fairly quickly at the minute, mine the same as most people I’ve seen took 5 weeks from when they got the form. Xx

MR 15/09, phoned 2 weeks ago and was told is in the last step before going to a decision maker. Sent the renewal in yesterday and got confirmation they got it today as the claim ends on 11/06.

I'm in the same scenario as you. Waiting from an MR from 7/09 and also they have just received our renewal....

MrsMacmumto6 · 19/03/2026 10:07

I’ve just called for an update, (renewal following late October tribunal award for HRM under SMI). I was told a decision has been made but the person refused to tell me what it was and said I had to wait for the letter.. this is the worst part :(

Kittenheaven23 · 19/03/2026 11:14

Just putting the current status of our COC here for our diagnosed at 3, 9 yr old non verbal son with severe autism and sensory issues, we applied for COC from medium to higher level mobility with pages and pages of evidence, ehcp and Dr reports, original SD was Feb 2025, we chased and waited approx, 31 weeks to be rejected, put in for an MR in sept 2025 with another letter as evidence from our GP to confirm his condition and mobility requirements, it's been over 30 weeks for MR but they still tell me nothing has been looked at yet. I am almost expecting someone to once again hit the rejection button within the next few weeks so that we get pushed into some sort of tribunal situation, it just seems like a game they are playing with you to see how long you are willing to play it. Anyone with an MR in September had any useful updates or progress?

following this thread for a year now but, can someone tell me what journals are, read the phrase a lot here but no idea what it is as never been to that stage yet..

I actually just phoned for an update and to ask about whether MR decision will trump renewal if the renewal decision comes first - and she said there's not an established rule??? Then just said she didn't know when my MR would be looked at, as things are taking 'a little longer' than usual. She told me that the MR and renewal decisions will 'probably be the same'??. I'm so confused, more confused than when I phoned. She said to phone them if I'm still confused after receiving the decisions from both..

It is the whole system is wrong but i really think that with mine they have looked at it as late evidence instead of a mr and thats why its been seen to faster because i phoned up at the end of feb beginning of march and said to them i have sent more evidence from my sons teacher and asked them could it be used as late evidence instead of going down the MR even though i had already asked for MR so im sure thats whats happened in my sons case x

Does anybody have an update for uc decision makers on back paying the disabled child element?

Jennag1987 · 20/03/2026 09:09

I rang again today 09/09/25 still not with a DM. Sick of another week going by. He said timescales were 25 weeks but now been advised no timescales. He then said 6 months which its already past. I will be 28 weeks on Tuesday. Anyone else MR September? Thank you
