DLA WAIT TIME THREAD 62

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Hello all. Have been a silent reader since I applied for my boy! Everyone on here are so brilliant and supportive, you guys have kept me updated and saved a lot of stress. These waits are so long and going by what everyone is reporting my boy has got a long wait for his decision to be made. I just mainly wanted to thank you to everyone for the updates! good luck everyone.

Ive got the same scan date as you. When I rang last week I was told 20 weeks even though both letters said 15 weeks

I'm not expecting to hear back before 20 weeks, looking at everyone else's feedback here. Which is okay as we are waiting for my daughters ASC feedback from clinical partners on the 27th. Hopefully the reports will follow swiftly so I can send them as additional information before our forms are looked at.

Mine’s a renewal for 2.5 year old DS who’s claim ends in February. I had a call from a DM on Friday as I missed a question on the form. She said that a decision would be made and I’d receive the letter in 7-10 working days so I’ll see what happens!

Scan date - 13/08, coc.

MR 20/08. After no change to current award when I submitted a COC for my 3 year old. We still get MRC for two years. Appealing as now have an ECHP, specialist provision and finally ASD diagnosis. Previous diagnosis moderatly deaf, hyper mobility and GDD. I am hoping for HRC at least as under paediatrician for sleep problems. Approaching 21 weeks on Tuesday.

hopefully we have another positive week and hear back from a lot more August dates. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Original scan date 14/02/24 (or 04/04/24 am asking dla to reconsider this as my Daughters school failed to send me all the requested evidence until July 24🙄)

Last i was told it was still in a holding queue

DD has a ASD diagnosis (November24), severe anxiety, dyslexia and maybe dyspraxia. After 4 years in her school they finally did a CAMHS referral in December and now arranging 1:1 support for her
