Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

New claim sd 16/09 hopefully not too much longer to wait

COC SD 29/07 24 weeks tomorrow 🥺 not heard anything and on Wednesday it was not with a DM, I have really bad feeling it will be rejected. It was so long ago I can not remember what I even wrote on the form 😳

New here but been watching a while two NC scan dates 17/10 16/10 called yesterday to check they got additional info and was told 25 weeks for any decisions 🤞 1 child in a Sen specialist school with a echp and one child under - peadatricion and dietician and genetic specialist plus ophthalmologist for a neurological condition he was diagnosed with from birth he’s now 7 been referred to occupational therapy and last peadatricion appointment was suspected adhd he’s under a Sen plan in school but masks pretty well in school I’ve sent it all pead letters school plans etc just hoping it’s enough as I’m rubbish with words and wording things on the forms 😩

we are 7/8 NC
been with a DM for weeks now no change at all rang on Friday to be told no long now…
that’s what I’ve been getting told since about 18 weeks.

I just want an answer now even if it’s a decline.

The anxiety for the response, whether good or bad, is just so tiring, isn’t it?

I desperately hope it’s good news. I feel like if it’s declined then I’ve let my daughter down and I’m really going to struggle mentally with that 😔

my sister in law put a claim in a week early than me and she got a decision in November it’s crazy tbh.
it’s so draining.
you then start to second guess yourself.
we are in the same area only 6 days between posting our claims.

how did hers get picked up that quick
why am I waiting this long?
have I let me son down?
it’s crazy

the claims are so similar as our kids suffer with the same things

NC SD 17/09 - Still a few weeks left of the dreaded wait left I assume.
I've got a few pieces I wanted to send them, what's the address? I was told it's just: Freepost DLA. Can anyone confirm?

NC SD 12/09 be 18 weeks on Thursday. Hoping only a couple weeks left but who knows 😂
I rang last week to get his referral being accepted noted on his claim and asked for an update and he said it’s 25 weeks, he laughed, I laughed, he sighed, I sighed 😂

Nc claim 9/9 feels like I have been waiting forever lol getting nervous as it's getting closer , but really want the right decision for my boy x fingers crossed for us all x I need to call them tomorrow to see if they have received sleep clinic report I sent on Wednesday might ask if there's an update lol

15 weeks tomorrow so was hoping we would be getting a decision this week as our letter said 15 weeks, but still got a long wait ahead

I’ll be going Tribunal route if we aren’t accepted this time round I found all information and can apply online we did MR July and was with a dm Friday and was the 25 week mark and was told to chase up Monday if no decision was made due to time frame ending praying I don’t have to go tribunal but I’m 90% sure we will have too

Do they automatically text you with the outcome or do I have to wait for a letter?

My scan date is very near to yours (6/9) and I’ve asked a similar question previously.

Apparently some people receives texts, some don’t. Some have to wait for the Letter. But in some cases people have seen money hit their accounts before any letters or texts have been received.
