DLA WAIT TIME THREAD 62

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Still a while to go just hope my daughter gets what i no she deserves but im expecting the worst but il fight it all the way 2 year 4 month old non verbal not walking cant stand unassisted has boots insoles standing frame physio every 2 weeks portage genetics speech referals suspected development delay has squints in her eyes wears glasses on waiting list for surgery on her eyes and is 9-12 months in her skills shes only just learnt to point and wave.

Will keep you all updated this thread only thing keeping me sain the waiting is so hard isnt it!

Yes me !! I also have a SD of 30/9 for my other claim both new ones. I thought doing the forms was bad enough but the waiting is awful. Fingers crossed they get a move on and claims are processed faster now that Christmas is over x

@OneUmberRaven are you calling today? I may call again at 9. Rang last week and no update

Yes it’s in my diary to do today as haven’t phoned in awhile. I keep checking my bank as sometimes that’s the first indication that it’s been processed, but nothing so far.

I’ll be ringing at 9 past 25 week mark now for MR still nothing since and rang Friday no decision made let’s see what they say today

Phone message says service difficulties today with waiting times longer .. just on hold now 🤞

No news sadly, he said it’s taking 25 weeks snd just to continue waiting

@OneUmberRaven the guy said at 8:15 today it was allocated to a decision maker. Not sure how accurate this is or what this means but that’s all I got

NC SD 29/8/24. Just got off the phone for an update. Still processing and the usual it can take up to 25 weeks and to call back if I've not heard anything by then

Positive news!

Been watching for a few weeks now it has really kept me going.

SD 10/09/2024.
Called today to be told decision made on 10/01/2025, MRC.

Looks like they're making their way through the September's now.

Burst our crying, it was such a relief.

Called today to find out what decision had been made for DS’ (2.5y) renewal claim.

MRC will continue until 2027. I’ve requested a list of reasons for the decision so I can progress with an MR as I sent enough evidence for HRC. I’ll have more evidence by the time the MR is due so that’ll be helpful. Let the MR journey begin🫡
