Nothing much to report in the house of Ben tonight which is great Grin ....no hospitalisations, no problems in school and DH got a met in his yearly appraisal which he was panicking about given my poor health and DS's assessments and dx having caused so much upheaval this year.

DH out for most of the weekend so DS and I can chill out and do nothing, maybe order a takeaway or do a drive through McDs tomorrow - sounds pretty good to me!

Finally asked my old university friend whether her DS1 had a dx having noticed his obsessions with trains, pylons and wires for years. He is due to get a dx next week! Him and DS already think that they are best friends even though they haven't ever met Grin.

mummytofive · 20/04/2012 21:37

I am more of a diet pepsi girl, I just dont get the taste of wine. very annoying when yr dh works in a wine warehouse!

moosemama · 20/04/2012 21:37

I don't think we can self-refer to physio here, but I'll definitely check it out, thanks creatovator. Although I'm hoping some physio will be the least he gets out of this appoitment.

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 21:39

i'm rubbish at drinking Blush

i had a glass while cooking, and a glass with dinner now am pissed quite tired

we have to self-refer to physio here probably missed the whole point of the convo now

moosemama · 20/04/2012 21:41

How do you self refer? Do you just call the physio dept?

SallyBear · 20/04/2012 21:44

Can't self refer for Physio where I am. Sad

moosemama · 20/04/2012 21:49

Really good programme on BBC4 about the influence of Reggae on the British music scene if anyone's interested. Lots of old punk and reggae stars on, Linton Kwesi, The Specials, The Clash, The Slits, Steel Pulse etc.

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 21:52

noooo, not the curse of BBC4!

last week DH and i ended up watching the programme about Freddie Mercury and Queen until it was Far Too Late

moosemama · 20/04/2012 21:57

Grin The Reggae night goes on until 3am tomorrow. Let's just say I won't be making it through to the end.

I am currently gutted that the Levellers have pulled out of the festival dh and I are going to in May. Apparently their fiddle player Jon Sevink had surgery on a detached tendon... and they've had to pull out of all their gigs for the next 6 weeks. Sad

There are still some cracking bands on, but I have never actually managed to see the Levellers live for one reason or another.

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 22:04

i loved the levellers, which festival is this? i quite fancy this one as it's on the doorstep

SallyBear · 20/04/2012 22:10

Right I am off to bed. Too much wine, my brain needs rest before I tackle maths tomorrow! Night night lovelies!! x

moosemama · 20/04/2012 22:10

this one we go every year. The boys stay with Grandma, but dd is a proper little festy kid and has been going since she was a wee dot - dozing in a sling whilst wearing a rather fetching pair of dayglo green ear defenders. Grin

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 22:11

night Sally

moosemama · 20/04/2012 22:12

Night Sally. Smile

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 22:15

moose that looks ace, even without the levellers

might go and badger DH Grin

moosemama · 20/04/2012 22:18

Tis a great weekend UnChartered, a really laid back and old-style festival with lots of the old bands to boot. Grin Giving away my real age away now. Wink

Not sure if they'll have any tickets left though, as it's usually sold out by this time of year.

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 22:18

crikey, have just noticed the time - i'm off now

thanks for you company tonight, hope Saturday is kind to you

Thanks
moosemama · 20/04/2012 22:23

Cheers Unchartered.

Have a good weekend.

devientenigma · 20/04/2012 22:55

Becaroooo · 21/04/2012 16:10

Hello all

Sorry I didnt joiin in last night but - wait for it - we went out!!!! I know!!!

Only to quiz night at church, but, hey its a start! Smile and we won!

Really really crap week here Sad

Trying to settle ds2 into pre school - so my stomach has been in knots all week. He has been quite upset when arriving Sad

Got blood results back from GP and - ta da! - I am severely anaemic...more so than after I had ds2 and collapsed! GP has referred me to gynae and spinal chap - really need to sort myself out..its awful feeling so bad all the time Sad

Cant remember now which one of you was talking about HEing? I HEd ds1 for most of 2010 so if you want to PM me feel free...the HE board on here is fab too!

Ds1 came home with a headteacher award for his writing again yesterday Smile Such progress since last year!

Take care all x

Triggles · 21/04/2012 18:44

Becaroooo - sorry that you've had a bad week. Hope they can get your iron levels back up quickly - I had a horrible time with mine for ages after having DS2, and they couldn't seem to get them to stay up in normal range until after I had DS3 oddly enough. It's just so draining! Take care of yourself!! (I know you're probably like a lot of us on here - we're so wrapped up in organising and taking care of things for our DCs that we neglect our own health!!)

creatovator · 21/04/2012 19:09

Beca sorry you're still not feeling great and have had such a tough week. Hope things get better soon. Well done to DS1 for the award.

Becaroooo · 22/04/2012 08:56

thank you

think I overdid it yesterday...felt really properly ill Sad triggles yes you are absolutely right, time to focus on me for a bit (easier said than done!)
