Nothing much to report in the house of Ben tonight which is great Grin ....no hospitalisations, no problems in school and DH got a met in his yearly appraisal which he was panicking about given my poor health and DS's assessments and dx having caused so much upheaval this year.

DH out for most of the weekend so DS and I can chill out and do nothing, maybe order a takeaway or do a drive through McDs tomorrow - sounds pretty good to me!

Finally asked my old university friend whether her DS1 had a dx having noticed his obsessions with trains, pylons and wires for years. He is due to get a dx next week! Him and DS already think that they are best friends even though they haven't ever met Grin.

Ben I'm slightly luckier - we have progressed onto Only Fools and Horses. I don't think DS2 and DD understand it all, but its sooo much better than cartoons.

I vote for Wall E as the most boring file EVERRRRRR!!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 20/04/2012 17:04

well I've gained a few new friends this week Grin

dd3 couldn't wait to get on her bus wednesday morning, I'm sure she thinks school is just one big social occasion Hmm she was over the moon to see all her friends again. And I got a break from peppa pig . . . now where did that baileys go, purely medicinal you understand Grin

Ben10NeverAgain · 20/04/2012 17:07

Wall E really is dull. As is Up. Meet the Robinsons has become dull. Actually they all are after x number of times. I'd love OF&H as an alternative but no. Disney XD is even worse with Pair of Kings

Peppa Pig luckily is a distant memory.

oh, sorry... last night was just me getting well over-upset over a thread on here.. that's all.. I think because things have been quite rough here that it just went over quite badly. Thread's deleted now anyway (and I hid it to avoid it).

To cap off our week... tomorrow is.... HAIR CUT DAY!!! Hmm

Yup. Which is officially followed by "meltdown weekend" so nothing else is planned for the entire weekend. (well, nothing for the children, I'm planning on having Wine and chocolate available for after they are in bed for the night. Grin)

nothinginthefridge · 20/04/2012 17:09

ninja always medicinal, whatever form the alcohol takes Grin

intothewest · 20/04/2012 17:11

Goodness - early this evening!
Hello all - (I'll read the thread properly in a mo)

Well things are o.k here. Nothing much exciting happening, then again nothing too bad happening either !

I'm off the booze this evening,so can only offer Brew (and jammy dodgers}

HolyCalamityJane · 20/04/2012 17:13

Evening All.

First week back at school and DD has been very very cheeky apparently we have 3 sad faces on our behaviour chart. Would have been 4 but she was off sick on Monday. The sun is shining here the rose wine is chilling in the fridge cannot wait to get the DCs up to bedGrin

UnChartered · 20/04/2012 17:19

i'm being lured out to Comet to buy a vacuum cleaner (will this excitement never end Grin)

DH broke ours on Monday and DD has just asked him to buy a new one as the 'hairs on the floor are making her toes tingle'

as they say, no peace for the wicked - laters then

(keep the Wine chilled)

SallyBear · 20/04/2012 17:20

Well DS4 loves Night at the Museum 1&2 at the moment. Last week it was Mr. Men series 1&2 with Arthur Lowe. He has eclectic tastes for 5! At least he finally understands that mummy thinks that Avatar was shit, as did some amoeba at the bottom of the mariana trench, James Cameron!!Grin
Made some new FB friends? Always good to connect.
Went to the JR this week and saw a Plastics person about DD's broken nose. I can stop stressing it's not that bad!
DS4 started SS and loves it! Went swimming today, a big thing for him GrinGrin
Had my hair done today, spent all afternoon dodging rain showers to preserve it's gorgeousnessGrin
Had a lovely surprise in the form of my favourite wine from a friend today. So Wine cheers!!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 20/04/2012 17:21

nothing, well of course it is Grin

it's not so much the programme itself, more the music that seems to play every couple of minutes [head explodes]

SallyBear · 20/04/2012 17:23

Oh yes almost forgot! DS1 AS, is apparently super brilliant and International Baccalaureate material! He is only 12!! Good grief Charlie Brown Wink who would have thought that I could have such a clever child?!

Ben10NeverAgain · 20/04/2012 17:23

I love Jammy Dodgers Biscuit Grin They're my favourite.

Enjoy the hoover shoppping. I really want the one with the ball.

Oh dear Triggles I feel your pain of the haircut. We had one in January. Will probably be June or July that we do another.

Into You sound as pleased as I am to have a non-eventful week Grin

HCJ Poor old DD. First week back is hard :(

My DD was given a DVD of 'The magic faraway tree' anyone remember the Enid Blyton book or am I showing my age again Blush

Ben10NeverAgain · 20/04/2012 17:26

Sounds a good week Sally Grin

DS had a great week at school as his neighbour on his desk has moved away so he has the whole table to himself. He seems to really do well and be able to concentrate so much better. Shame the school is oversubscribed as he'll have a partner soon enough. Not enough space in that particular classroom for him to have his own desk but at least I know i can push for it for September.

I don't remember that book but I did love the Secret Seven and the Famous Five :)

Think I'll have to stop typing soon and just lurk a bit as my hands are starting to go numb....so much for trying to go back to work soon......... Hmm

Ben10 - January for haircut and not again until JULY??? sob sob DS2 & DS3 have hair that grows unbelievably. I put it off as long as possible and STILL can only go as long as 2 months!!! I always tell DH when the boys start looking like the Beatles, we need to get their haircut!! So Paul & Ringo are off to get trimmed tomorrow!! Grin

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 20/04/2012 17:31

my favoiurite biscuits are the foxs jam and cream ones, yum, not that many calories honest Hmm

holy, I used to read those books when I was little, I loved them! Not seen the dvd version though.

sally, well done to your ds, fab news Smile

Triggles · 20/04/2012 17:31

and no... that's NOT their real names Grin before anyone asks!!

coff33pot · 20/04/2012 17:33

Quick evening all! Starting tea and tidying up will be back to scan the posts in a bit.

Good week so far here. DS managed 3 maths challenges and earnt himself 4 stickers in one day this week! That was the good bit. The bad bit is school cannot get it into their heads re playtime. DS needs support and its on his statement but unfortunately they observe from afar instead of helping him with the lacking social skills. Resulting in stressed DS refusing to come in and so they punish him by saying he cannot go out to play for the next 4 days and try again next week Confused Now they are moaning that his behaviour is not good by after lunch. WHAT do you expect when you have a) sensory overloaded child from class b) adhd child with no excercise c) a child who is having to be reminded of consequence every day for the rest of the week despite passing 3 challenges, when with AS it goes out the window what he has done the day after so he thinks they hate him DOH! Am I going to apologise or sort it? NO just happy hes coming on in maths.

Drum Roll .............I have let him out to play..............do I keep diving out and looking? ohh yesss bag of nerves? ohhhh yesssss

Catch you all in a bit once I have had a read up :)

Ben10NeverAgain · 20/04/2012 17:40

:( The school is keeping him in - that's going to help isn't it Hmm

Wow you are brave Coff. What sort of road do you live on? We are on a terraced street that gets used as a rat run due to a one way system. He will be 31 11 before I get the guts to let him out by himself!

Hi folks! All ok here. Dd2 had paed on Monday he said he thinks she's hfa but we have to wait on ados for this which he referred us for 4 months ago and we still haven't made it passed the thinking list onto the waiting list. So we have arranged app with Daphne keen! Wooohoo. Thing is dd2 seems so NT to me at at times when she's quiet and calm and not bothered. Then there are other times when she's lining things up, or going mad hitting kicking and screaming etc etc I'm sure uve all been there before. I do,know she's not tour average toddler though :)

Ben10NeverAgain · 20/04/2012 17:42

Triggles We go from very short crop to the Beatles in the 6 month period!

Ringo and Paul would be very cool names Grin.

Love mine as I do, the thought of HEding them would drive me utterly demented. Truly. 6week summer break is enough to finish me off. zzzzz I can appreciate your worry over the loss of "me time"Sad

Triggles · 20/04/2012 17:54

zzzzz - my DH mentioned homeschooling as well at one point... until I cheerfully told him if they were homeschooled then HE (meaning DH) was doing it, not me!! Grin He's decided homeschooling is not for us.
