Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

Ours was declined because he didn’t have any care plan or help at school but I explained he suffers in silence and won’t ask for help because it’s not mum or dad. Often home with wet pants and sore hands from not washing correctly. Told to hurry up eating. He eats slow because he’s scared he will choke. The main reason for decline was school. So I just wrote 20 pages for my MR. Explained how he won’t ask them for help. I got messages I’ve sent to the school saying how he is. Messages them telling me he wet himself today and was upset. I’ve contacted the gp for a supporting letter of everything my son does out the ordinary and contacted the school for all the letters and notes form the school nurse. Also re writing an original dla form with so much more detail on care because clearly they need to know the ins and outs of a cats arse. Fine hairline details. We’ve have poor attendance letters form the school due to all this and dla say he spends most of he’s time at school. I’m so upset angry stressed ontop of everything else. I need to reprint all evidence so go through it all find them all. Wait to speak to a go. Pay for the supporting letter. Actual diagnoses SO FAR is anxiety ocd and deviated septum. And waiting for camhs going forward. What else can I do!!! Then the long wait for a decision. Honestly losing the will I really am. Xx

The doctors letter is great evidence hun. Hopefully it’s a great supporting letter for you as they can’t ignore that. If it matches what you say he is like at home that’s what you need.

Hi, everyone my scan date was 24th July. Back pay pending today LC plus middle rate care. So happy for my daughter.

I’ve woken up to a payment of 214. I belive this is 2 weeks pay as my award expired October 3rd. What does this mean for my renewal? Does anyone have any idea?

Seen lots of people getting decisions/payment today for the 24th July scan date. Xx

Sorry to jump on but I literally applied for similar for my boy, would be around 15 months when I applied on August 17th. He also has development delay, can't crawl, wave, point, etc. And I too had to stop working to fit in all the physio appointments, sessions and clinics aside from also just trying to keep the family going. I'm so anxious too that they won't see it due to his age. He had a brain injury at birth so we have letters and consultants galore sent as evidence but the age thing really worries me. Hope you get some answers soon.

@Becks2026 aww I hope you get good news also! It’s so hard isn’t it. We don’t know what’s causing my baby’s at the moment we are waiting for genetics. Well I say waiting it was done in June and told it will be around 3 months for answers then I have a phone call last week that I basically waited all that time for nothing because his pediactricion didn’t submit the form for it or something so wasn’t done. Which is really annoying I worry myself sick that there something serioudlsly medically wrong with him but no support off professionals what’s so ever!! Xx

I’ve just had my daughter SLT report back this morning, I’m debating whether there’s any point sending it in or not. Xx

@Mumto4and5 maybe ring and ask if there would be any point. I suppose it’s extra evidence but it’s if it will he there before the decision is made isn’t it! I think we’ve got another week or so at least yet but who nos hopefully I’m wrong lol xx

Hi girls! Hope everyone's getting the outcomes they hoped for! My claim is up for renewal in feb I am right in thinking I should've had my forms by now, right? On hold now to see whats what!

Just off the phone, they said i should've been sent them last month but none was actually sent out so there going to get some sent out today could take 10 days🙄 so I've lost a few weeks time for this form which takes at least a good week to 2 weeks to get fully filled in!

I’ve just done them signed for delivery and on hold now to let them know I’ve sent them . I think we won’t get a decision until next week now . I’m so doubtful whether she will be awarded even though I’ve sent evidence, she’s under all these professionals. It just feels like she will be dismissed as she’s only 4. It may just be my head though lol xx

@Mumto4and5 aww excellent! Yeah I’m thinking next week now the wait seems to have been forever I think lol! Yeah I’m the same as he’s only 2 but i will fight for what he deserves! I just wish if it’s a decline we’d get it and then I can get on with doing the mr xx

I'm ringing now, my scan date is 27th but im thinking it's going to be next week x

I’m not to sure as we were still owed 2 weeks from our old award?

i Spoke to a really nice woman today. She’s put a note that I’ve sent additional evidence . It’s not been allocated to a caseworker just yet it’s still in the queue but she said she’d definitely expect a decision before the end of next week. She did additional checks from the claim forms I filled in ( name of GP surgery etc ) then was able to go into another system to see everything xx

Congratulations on many receiving positive news today. Scan date 24th July but haven't heard anything yet. No pending payments and I haven't called. Anticipating a decline letter through the post 😞

It doesn’t matter how early you send in the renewal forms, they do them when the closest ones expire. I sent mine off in June, his claim expires next week and it’s still not been done. On the phone they told me they do them up to the day before expiry regularly.

Mines due the 19th Feb I've sent back the 28th September then a text on the 29th definitely call up lovely

Scan date of 20/07 and still haven’t heard. I called last Monday and really want to call again but don’t want to get told off or feel like a pain!

@Hopefullyitcan hopefully it’s just taking a little longer for a decision or for the payment to hit the bank. If in doubt you can ring and just ask I don’t think it will hurt x
