Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

Hi everyone, SD for NC was 23/9/26 I am still awaiting all the evidence from school. He transitioned to secondary school in September so the primary are dragging their feet a bit as he is no longer a student there. Just wondering on waiting times. Would you say approx 10/12 weeks? Just so I can keep chasing the school as evidence was minimal and didn’t have anyone to fill out the school part but but all his old and new Senco details in. Worried it’s going to be refused because of this.

Feel really anxious about a decision for my daughter now. She’s scan date of 28th July and all I keep seeing is declines at the moment with similar issues my daughter faces. Will be so glad when the wait is over and praying no MR needed x

I’d say you definitely have a while to wait still with how slow the dates are moving along at the moment. I’d ring them and explain so they can put a note down that they are waiting on evidence. That way if a DM picks it up they should see more evidence will be supplied xx

I waited 11 weeks 2 days x

Hoping the 27th July gets looked at this week. Defo think we have been declined as have limited evidence xxx

It's so hard isn't it when you have limited evidence. We are the same. DD9 is now home educated as she didn't cope in school, previous school are refusing to do any evidence as she's no longer a student. On several waiting lists for referrals (and the hospital don't send out letters while on the waiting lists) but they are so long where we live it could be years before we actually get anywhere, in the meantime we try and muddle through each day as best we can. I've written detailed reports of what our days look like l, and a family friend has also written a letter explaining DD needs. I called a couple of weeks ago as we are waiting for a workshop for the continence clinic, and whether it's worth sending that letter in, but because it's not an actual medical appointment for only her, I was told it would probably be useless 🙄 I totally understand the need for evidence, otherwise anyone could apply and say anything but when waiting lists are ridiculously long it can be so difficult to get that evidence. I have a scan date of 10/8 so a bit more waiting yet I would imagine. Hopefully you get a positive outcome soon 🤞

I’m also so nervous scan date 28/7 I feel he’s gunna get declined! I’d rather it just happen now and then put in for the mr x

Hopefully I hear something this week! Current award expired Saturday 3rd. I phoned Friday confirmed my son’s autism diagnosis and sent the report in the post! It was with a case worker. The lady on the phone was very helpful she said there was no decision made as of yet.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get carers allowance?

Thank you. Currently on hold but guessing a decision won’t be made yet as it was the weekend. I sent extra evidence Thursday via Royal Mail 24 hr tracked and it’s still not showing as delivered 😩 wanted them to have that before making a decision. Fingers crossed other people here hear something today or soon x

Yeah I only had schools referral forms for evidence defo don't think it's going to be enough but driving me mad not knowing.

It's so hard when your on the pathway but the wait times are sooo long it's 72 weeks to get appointment to be assessed here. Fingers crossed for you to xx

Hope everyone gets what they deserve today. I'm scan date 24th July. Really hope they clear those dates today.

I’ve seen on Facebook someone receive backpay today for scan date of 24th July x

@Mumto4and5 is your scan date the same as mine? Hopefully we do not have much longer to wait now x

I’m the 28th July .. that’s the day I got the text and then 6th August is the date they asked for birth certificate. So I’m pretty sure my scan date is 28th. So confusing though haha xx
