Made a new thread for those of you who need to discuss wait times and ask questions!
Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

Im waiting on outcome of my DD's renewal due 29/09/2026

Yeh I’m 28th July aswell, when I rang they said that’s the scan date I also got a letter August asking for a birth certificate! Hoping we don’t have much longer to wait xx

I have just spoken to somebody on the phone from the dla and he says it can be another 3-4 weeks for the scan date if the 28th of July! So hopefully not xx

Whatttt.. 3-4 weeks, that’s crazy . Thought may be towards the end of this week xx

@Mumto4and5 me too! I said 3-4 weeks he said yeah bear in mind can take up to 25 in extreme circumstances but he’s saying another 3/4 weeks for our scan date! Weather that’s just a little estimated timeline and it could be sooner who knows!xx

It’s when your seeing scan dates so close to ours being decided it makes you think a decision is soo close now. Xx

@Mumto4and5 yeh that’s it! Surely it can’t be 3-4 weeks when there’s scan dates being done that’s 4 days away from ours!!xx

I just got off the phone too 😂 they couldn’t say anything else except no decision yet and to call back in 2 weeks if not heard anything x

Update, got through to the loveliest lady. We’ve had a positive decision, made 30/09/2026 for HRC & LRM which is exactly what I was hoping. She said my daughter’s back pay will be paid tomorrow. She was so nice. I did call Thursday and I was told it hadn’t been allocated to a DM so not 100% sure what happened there lol

My scan date was 20/07 and was convinced I’d wake up this morning to backpay… but no I didn’t! Trying to be patient. I called last Monday so trying not to call again but it’s hard!

Still in queue to be picked up by a case manager , told me 10 weeks to call back if no progress 😂

That's brilliant news. Does anyone know how back pay works? I assumed they sent it the day the decision was made but obviously not.

On the grounds that senco say he’s not like that at school but he hides it at school. I even told he’s teachers he said to me he’s scared about he’s friends and teachers knowing so he holds it all in as soon as we pick him up he lets it all out all the worries he’s had in the day at school how scared he was. I tell him he needs to tell a teacher but he won’t. And because they see he looks ok they think he’s ok! But they aren’t inside he’s head! Anyone else had the same issue? Will do a mr but am I wasting my time

So sorry to hear that 😕...my son is the same. Did you have any evidence at all from school or any health professionals?

My son's primary saw all his issues but his high school aren't great, however they contradict themselves because they say he's fine but then acknowledge and agree with me and now he has a SEND plan etc ...hoping it's enough but I worry they may decline for same reasons X are you doing an MR?

They issue the payment the day the decision is made and it can take 3-5 working days x
