Starting 2019 with SW

Hi everyone
I'm getting back on track with SW, determined to lose at least a stone that I have been hanging onto for far too long!

Online shop done, tomorrow's meals planned thanks to the SW magazine - anyone else in a similar position and want to join?!

My first meeting is not until next Thursday but can't wait another week :)

Half a pound away from 1 stone!

mynameisMrG · 16/03/2019 11:12

Well done @everything!
I put on half this week which was annoying though deserved. Bought a journal this week as writing it down is the only thing that keeps me on track

Everythingmagnolia · 16/03/2019 22:54

I think writing everything down is key. I always forget, which is why I have lost and gained the same half a pound for the last few weeks!

sazzle27 · 18/03/2019 11:07

I'm back!
In true essay procrastination, I ordered myself a food/weight journal last week, agreeing with PPs that writing down is key.
Alongside this, i have downloaded myfitnesspal onto my phone as a monitor whilst I'm on shift (although I think it will overtake my use of the journal...)

I am incorporating SW aspects into my day, and counting kcal.
Listening to my body-when I feel full, I am full.. am I craving/wanting food because I'm hungry or just fancy it..

So here it is, weigh in days are Friday, start weight of 94.2kg, this is my accountability! 💪🏻💪🏻

mynameisMrG · 18/03/2019 16:23

I’ve heard rave reviews of myfitnesspal. Is that the one where you can log all your food as well? You’ll have to let us know how you get on with it.

sazzle27 · 18/03/2019 22:29

Yeah, loga your food ao you can track macros, kcal, carbs, protein, fat, water etc..
Seems easy to use.. 4 days in and feeling fairly confident, although dreading weighing Friday in case there's no loss!

sazzle27 · 18/03/2019 22:29

*logs
*so
Bloomin' thumbs!

mynameisMrG · 19/03/2019 18:44

Sounds interesting. Might download it if I don’t lose this week!

mynameisMrG · 21/03/2019 20:19

Lost 4 1/2 this week. Really pleased as I needed something to keep me motivated

Everythingmagnolia · 22/03/2019 12:08

That is an amazing loss well done Mynameis!

I lost 2lb this week and got my stone award, so happy right now!

mynameisMrG · 22/03/2019 14:11

Thank you, and well done to you too!

I don’t k ow about you but I’m a bit of a child and really enjoy getting the certificates and stickers!

sazzle27 · 22/03/2019 17:14

Weighed today, 0.9kg loss!
Not bad considering we went to the theatre Wednesday with a (2 month) belated birthday dinner at Planet Hollywood for my DP, and pizza last night!

Onwards and upwards - loving the myfitnesspal app, love seeing the numbers, and the ease of use (now I'm getting the hang of it). Still incorporating SW themes and ideas, but not 100% strict on it all...

Had a brief look at my weight in st and lbs and quickly decided doing this in kg is far better - won't get hung up on how heavy I am, or the numbers as a weight.. just a start number and a number to measure loss in!

Summary:
Start weight: 94.2kg
Current weight: 93.3kg
Total loss: 0.9kg

mynameisMrG · 22/03/2019 17:47

Well done @sazzle! Good losses this week. I think the nice weather spurred me on a bit!

sazzle27 · 23/03/2019 15:55

Cheers mrG, the good weather definitely helps! Reminds me of the holiday I have booked..

Everythingmagnolia · 28/03/2019 11:42

I gained 2.5lb this week! I had a takeaway on Saturday and went over my syns twice, so I definitely deserved a gain. I just didn't expect it to be that much Blush

mynameisMrG · 28/03/2019 16:36

That’s a shame @everything but at least you know where it’s from. Write it off as a bad week, we’ve all had them. Was it a good take away? Sometimes I feel it’s worth it lol
I’ve not been great this week. Had a bit of an ice cream fest on Monday so I’m not looking forward to weighing in later.

mynameisMrG · 29/03/2019 10:35

Lost 2lb last night which I was very surprised about. Need to be extra good this week in case it creeps on now

sazzle27 · 30/03/2019 12:19

Weighed a day late today - 0.8kg loss.

Totally messed up macros this week; over on fat 3 days, over on carbs and sugar one day.. have the DSC this weekend, and it's their treat night on a Friday...
Thanks to a surprise wake up at 0500 Thursday morning with DP pulling his back and fainting, snack food in bed/worrying over him, and treating myself to maltesers and chocolate bourbons last night, I am very surprised at having a loss!
Also saw how horribly unhealthy DPs super tasty self invented pasta dinner is thanks to myfitnesspal..
So yummy yet so unhealthy..
Cruel!

Still pro doing it in kg - no idea of what my weight in st and lbs is.. but focussing on the loss and making good food choices, ans where hidden calories etc are!

Fitness friend recommended keeping fibre up...
Staple lunch at work has been a wholegrain rice salad, with a cheese i found in tesco - eatlean protein, natural, with high protein and 3% fat! Not as strong as i like, but certainly noticed the macro difference with "normal" cheese!

No noticeable difference in clothes yet - work trousers will be the true test of it as they're sized like mens - waist in inches not the vagueness of a "size 14" which varies by shop/style!

Summary:
Start weight: 94.2kg
Current weight: 92.5kg
Total loss: 1.7kg

sazzle27 · 30/03/2019 12:20

Sorry to here that everything - at least you know where you got it from! It may well be water retention as well due to salt in the takeaway keeping the water in your body rather than letting it go..

Well done mrG!

Everythingmagnolia · 30/03/2019 19:14

Fingers crossed Sazzle, I have been extra good so far this week!

Well done on all the losses this week!

mynameisMrG · 04/04/2019 20:13

Lost 1lb this week. Wanted more but looking at my journal I was over my syns in five days!!!! I’m away this weekend so a maintain next week would be good

snooze27 · 05/04/2019 09:04

Everything it's all gone downhill this week! Chinese one night due to late at home with DPs physio for his back... and papa johns pizza wednesday due to fatigue, apathy and general meh at this week (on placement and essay deadline and early morning and aunt flo not going away)

Saturday weigh in.. fingers crossed..

Everythingmagnolia · 05/04/2019 12:58

snooze I had a week like that last week and gained 2.5lbs, however this week I managed to lose 3.5lbs, so it's evened out.!

sazzle27 · 06/04/2019 07:47

BlushNC fail!

Ahh I hope my next week weigh in will be like that Everything!
I have yet to have a "big loss", although I imagine I should be thankful this week has resulted in one, albeit a small one..

Am back to work this week rather than on placement, and although it's tiring shift work, it does bring some structure to my eating... as long as i take enough to keep me full!

Start weight: 94.2kg
Current weight: 92.1kg
Total lost: 2.1kg

mynameisMrG · 06/04/2019 18:31

Wow 3.5lb is brilliant! Well done everything
