Hi everyone
I'm getting back on track with SW, determined to lose at least a stone that I have been hanging onto for far too long!

Online shop done, tomorrow's meals planned thanks to the SW magazine - anyone else in a similar position and want to join?!

My first meeting is not until next Thursday but can't wait another week :)

Can I join please? Have went full throttle over Xmas, and found myself joining on 30th Dec as I couldn’t take another day of fatness. First weigh in today (I’ll be a Tuesday weigh’er) was 5lb. Delighted but need to keep on track. Have 4 stone to lose and would love to get it off before July, so thinking less carbs, more veg sides and loads of soup and walking. Have downloaded the Strong by Zumba fitness thingie (Zumba sounds misleading there’s no dancing, it’s body resistance exercises to music and will be aiming for 3 times a week please walking to and fro work at 1 mile each way. Here’s hoping. Good luck folks

AineH · 08/01/2019 23:38

I should say first weigh in was 5lb off, Xmas gain was 4

agteacht · 09/01/2019 07:59

My weigh in is tonight, feeling nervous!

Has anyone else been really bloated, and dare I say... windy?

amcnickname · 09/01/2019 16:17

Well done for the loses ladies!

I’ll weigh fri morn so I can drink wine on Friday nights.... it’s my biggest weakness, that and all the nibbles/buttery toast/anything starchy I eat after it!

Good luck to all!

juneybean · 09/01/2019 17:40

Oh I was ridiculously windy last night! I blamed the sprouts hahaha

Atetoomanymincepies · 09/01/2019 19:20

So glad it's not just me then!

I lost 3.5lb very happy!

juneybean · 09/01/2019 19:24

Well done!!

shecamefromgreece · 09/01/2019 21:27

Slimming world farts are a thing dontcha know?!Grin
But seriously I always suffer for a couple of weeks then it seems to settle down.
I had my first weigh in tonight and lost 6lbs!! Very pleased Smile

juneybean · 09/01/2019 21:47

Fantastic loss!

mynameisMrG · 09/01/2019 21:51

Wow really good losses today! Well done everyone. I have the most awful wind and sooooo bloated!! Glad I am not the only one!

Atetoomanymincepies · 10/01/2019 07:27

6lbs is amazing! Well done!

juneybean · 10/01/2019 09:46

Urgh so I don't get weighed until 7pm but just jumped on at home and I don't think I've lost much at all!! I can't starve myself all day haha

springlenner · 10/01/2019 13:55

Wow! Great losses everyone. agteacht report back no matter what the loss is... sometimes it takes two weeks to show (especially when you need a boost on the first week)

aine also loads of soup and less carbs here.

I'm at work at the moment and someone appeared with the most gorgeous looking Tarte Tatin ( proper French, I work with a lot of French people on the French border with Switzerland) -- it took all my resolve to eat an apple instead!

Does anyone have an AirFryer? Are they useful for anything besides chips? I would invest in one in the sales if people thought it was worth it. I do love a Slimming World chip...

shecamefromgreece · 10/01/2019 16:23

I often wonder about an air fryer but I just really think I will get the use out of it.
Slimming world are bringing out free oven chips as part of there Iceland range in a couple of weeks so I think I will try those!

mynameisMrG · 10/01/2019 18:06

@juneybean I am the same, I am just hoping my scales aren't accurate and I have lost! Mind you I ate so much the week before I joined I wouldn't be surprised if some of that weight only came on this week. We shall see at half seven!

juneybean · 10/01/2019 18:40

Good luck! I weigh in at 7pm!

juneybean · 10/01/2019 19:04

4.5lbs off! I'm shocked.

mynameisMrG · 10/01/2019 20:36

Amazing! I lost 5lb so I’m guessing my scales are off! Thankfully Smile

agteacht · 10/01/2019 22:01

Oh my god ladies you have all done so well! I have only lost 0.5 lb
Gutted!!!!
Going to try hard again this week and hope that I see two weeks of benefit next week

Well done on all of those big losses

mynameisMrG · 10/01/2019 22:49

@agteacht that's still a loss and something to be celebrated ☺

juneybean · 10/01/2019 23:15

Well done on the losses!

amcnickname · 11/01/2019 08:23

1lb lose, better than nothing- going to be super good from sat-fri.
A massive well done on the big loses, to ateacht stay positive it’s all right direction!

FerreroRocherAreAmazing · 11/01/2019 09:51

A loss is better than nothing! Well done everyone. I lost 2.5lbs this week on my first weigh in. I am also doing the fit log and doing 2 x 5min workout a day to help boost me. Good luck to everyone this week!

Atetoomanymincepies · 12/01/2019 09:41

I had a takeaway last night.

Had a very stressful day at work and needed to do my shopping when I finished but then something came up which took hours to deal with, so I didn't make it to the shop. Going to draw a line under it and I am off to the supermarket this morning.

Have a good weekend everyone
