Hi Groovee
Thanks so much for your reply. I am sorry to hear you're feeling poorly- hope you're soon on the mend.
I don't write anything down as I sort of feel I know the plan well enough to know what is free and HE but I do count syns. I hadn't thought about liquid adding weight- I'm sure I'm likely to be drinking more in the heat. Perhaps that's what it is . I hope so but I Hiweigh in the morning after going to the loo . Perhaps I need to step away from the scales for a bit - hard though!!

Groovee · 07/08/2018 07:49

I once fell out of target range and threw an almighty strop. 20 minutes later 750mls of water and a banana, I gained 2lb 😂

I always weigh myself mid week and get downhearted or overly confident and complacent depending on which way the scales have gone!

Groovee · 07/08/2018 14:33

I'm going to weigh in and see how much damage being unable to pooh has done!

I read on one of the other SW threads a poster describing how she had lost 15 stones and she said she had weeks of maintaiining and weeks of gaining . I am going to hold on to that and try and accept that it is not a linear process, hope things are 'moving' Groovee!

raisedbyguineapigs · 07/08/2018 20:47

I've been up and down like a yoyo these past few months but I went on the beach in a bikini for the first time in 20 years this summer and bought size 12 summer clothes for the first time in 20 years. I tell myself that I'm still on a downwards trajectory long term even if I'm not getting 4-5lb weight losses or I'm not sticking to it 100%. I'm unbelievably terrible at SW but I'm still going Grin

Pipsqueak11 · 07/08/2018 22:16

you're right guinea pig - its the over all position that counts over a long period . well done on the bikini!

Groovee · 07/08/2018 22:17

I maintained! Genuinely thought I would gain 4-5lbs and be out of target.

I go up and down at target... then last week I took time to look at my graph on the SW app it's not a straight line but as you can see nowhere near as bad as I had in my head. @eeyoredebbie is one of my inspirations with her weight loss x

I've been nominated for woman of the year for my 'positive outlook' which I can only assume is 'kind' code for 'she's clearly shit at this but she keeps plugging away' GrinGrinGrin I got the text after scoffing fish and chips but I had done a massive hill walk so was starving but had half a portion of chips and double mushy peas! I'm going to have to be really strict for the rest of my holiday to avoid the humiliation of being nominated for woman of the year and having put on 3lb Grin

Groovee · 10/08/2018 20:27

Oh well done Raised!

Yum. Love cheeseburger pasta. Missed my usual meeting so went to a different one. Had a male leader which made a change. Very tough love but I probably needed that. Need to stop eating bits of the kids snacks.

Gablexy · 11/08/2018 21:05

I need to stop doing exactly that too Cheri! Either need to stop myself entirely or take alternative snacks out with me.

Groovee · 11/08/2018 21:20

My consultant is male. He's really good. He told us to spray dettol or pour washing up liquid on leftovers.

Just sitting with my recipe book to menu plan. Hoping to maintain or lose this week.

Back to work after 6 weeks off 😱.

Got crustless quiche ready for lunch with salad. Need to pick up some fruit to munch on. Over night all bran for breakfast.

Looking forward to not sitting on my bum too much 😂

Hi all!
Can I jump on board please! On day 4 100% on plan, restarting for the final time to shift this last 1 stone and 11lb... looking forward to finishing my journey this time!

Groovee · 13/08/2018 13:39

Welcome @owlsandbadgers

what can i have for a snack / supper that is 2 syns or less? I have eaten lots of fruit today so not really wanting that, or a yoghurt as I've had a yoghurt. HEb and HEa all used too.

The bloody eggs are off too so not gotten to shop yet. help meeeeee what can I have? I'm hungry (had my tea early)

In fridge, I have yoghurts and fruit, sliced ham and topside of beef. In cupboard I have brown bread, caramel wafers, jaffa cakes, popcorn, croissants (for DD), wheetabix

Sorry I'm still new to this. I'm worried i'll be constantly hungry :(

Groovee · 13/08/2018 18:40

I often snack on wafer thin ham or turkey with pickled onions and cucumber and Babybels.

Quark is my go to, with an options sachet or sweetener. Fills me up.

Carrot sticks are also a firm favourite of mine.

I'm in!

Lost 11lb in 5 weeks last year by following one of these threads. Felt amazing! I'm only 5'2 ish, so it was quite noticeable. Convinced myself I was now one of those people who could eat what they wanted and stay slim... turns out I'm not!

Do I really need to weight myself before I start?! don't think I can face the scales 🙁.

Guess I do if I want to keep track.. I'll do it in the morning, now probably not the best time.

Groovee · 14/08/2018 05:25

Facing the scales is the hardest thing to do.

My friend regularly needs to be told get on the bloody scales and she does then.

coralush · 14/08/2018 06:56

I've just weighed myself.

9st 12lb - not as bad as I thought to be honest.

Would love to get to 8st 10lb.

Starting the day with a mug of hot water. x

owlsandbadgers · 14/08/2018 18:26

I’m away with work at the moment, on the road a lot and really tempted by coffee stops at the service stations. My husband brought me a coffee machine for my birthday and one of the light pods is only 2.5 syns. I’m making sure I keep reminding myself that is my treat when I get home!
I’m getting through a punnet of strawberries a day at the moment and snacking on gherkins to keep the cravings at bay. I hope everyone is having a good day!

coralush · 14/08/2018 19:26

I've not had a bad day. Don't think I ate enough this morning as I felt very lightheaded about 4pm.

Milk for brews. Didn't weigh it out though. Must do that going forward but had about 4 cups of tea.

Breakfast
2 x apples
1 x satsuma
1 x banana

Lunch
1 small jacket
Beans
Tiny bit of marg - will count 1 syn.
Diet Coke

Dinner
Dried noodles
Oriental stir fry pack
Salmon
1 tablespoon sunflower oils. I didn't check the syns until after - 6 syns!! Yikes. I don't really like FryLight.

I didn't even eat half of it so I'll say 3 syns. Will have the rest for lunch tomorrow.

Skinny Capp when I met a friend for coffee 3.5 syns.

Matteson fridge raiders - 3 syns (grabbed with I felt like I was going to pass out!)

Also got a honey ham snack thing from Sainsbury's - not sure if syns but will say 3 to be on safe side.

I really wasn't prepped today so didn't keep myself full.

Total syns - 13.5.

Hope everyone has had a good day! ⭐️

Groovee · 14/08/2018 19:56

I gained 1.5lb which was unexpected, but was shocked to be told I was nominated for women of the year then won it. Didn't expect that at all.
