@myguide I don't like the texture of overnight oats, so I make it using weetabix or shredded wheat, it's much nicer.

boats16 · 09/04/2018 17:25

Well done MyGuide 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Groovee · 09/04/2018 18:03

@MyGuideJools I put the grapenuts on the bottom, then I use half a small tub of quark and mix with sweetener and add a dash of vanilla essence. The top the grapenuts and pop on the fridge. Then add fresh fruit in the morning.

Fab lolly's are doing mini ones at 2.5 syns! I had a tropical one.

Just checking in. WI on Thurs, hoping to have lost the 1.5lb I put on, if not more.
Can o ask how people set their targets? How did you know what weight to set or did you have a figure in mind you always wanted to be?

Flutterby81 · 09/04/2018 19:02

@blondes I love campfire stew I normally have veg with it but the rest of the family have it with rice seems to go well with it.

Groovee · 09/04/2018 19:45

@Littlepig8834 I started off with a 1.5st target then dropped it by 7lbs each time until I felt ready to call target. I found breaking it up easier than setting a large one at first. I'm 4.5st down now since joining SW. But over a 5st loss.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/04/2018 19:57

I had rice. Thanks @flutterby

It was ok. Not sure why everyone raves about it

Yes filling and free

But not the best thing I’ve eaten on sw

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2018 20:01

Well done on all the almost at target losses today! I lost 2.5lbs this week so I’m also only 1.5lbs from target (although I rejoined 2 weeks after stopping last year and gaining a bit back so only set target at half a stone so not that big of an achievement).

I am going for bottom of target zone though rather than sticking at target so still 4.5lbs to go. I know from previous experience that my losses slow to 0.5-1lb per week after a couple of weeks too so it’s likely to take me several weeks to get there yet.

boats16 · 09/04/2018 21:07

Well done Basin
@ Littlepig , I didn't know how much I wanted to lose so I didn't set a target . I decided I would know when felt comfortable. I am happy now so I am trying to maintain 😐

Oldowl · 09/04/2018 21:24

I made target today- I needed to lose 1lb to hit target, but I actually lost 2lb.

I was so pleased that I celebrated with a couple of celebration chocolate that I had squirrelled away since Christmas!

(I had to google grapenuts as I had never heard of them!)

Flutterby81 · 09/04/2018 21:34

@blondes I love it just for the simplicity of making it and the fact my fussy and usually gammon hating children like it lol it’s tasty but yes I agree there’s lots of nicer things on sw.
Just got the new magazine and there’s a few recipes in there I’d like to try.

MumInTheCity · 09/04/2018 21:37

Well done to all the losers. I gained half a pound. I'm so disappointed, I've stuck to plan all week, been under my syns every day, had plenty of speed etc. I guess it was just one of those weeks.

calzone · 09/04/2018 21:54

I’m pleased everyone is enjoying the cauliflower sauce lasagne!!

MyGuideJools · 09/04/2018 22:43

mum don't be too hard on yourself. I had the same a few weeks back, stuck to it 100% and was under syns. didn't lose a thing.
Last week, had an Easter egg, 46 bloody synsShock ......I lost 2lb
Tis madness sometimesConfused

Titsywoo · 09/04/2018 23:27

So annoyed today. Rushed out of the house so no time for breakfast - the kids wanted pizza express so I just had the calamari starter as I hate salad so it seemed like the best option as I know they bake it in the oven. It was 25.5 bloody syns! No idea why as the calories are apparently 371 and surely the squid part is free. All I can assume is that the tartare sauce was included in that amount (I didn't eat the sauce) or they pour some oil on it before cooking (but it doesn't taste greasy). 3rd weigh in on Thursday and I'm really hoping for a 3lb loss over the last 2 weeks but not feeling too positive right now!

Titsywoo · 09/04/2018 23:32

Had this lovely stir fry for dinner though!

Titsywoo · 09/04/2018 23:33

Half of the stirfry bit is veg so there is at least a third speed food!

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2018 07:28

titsy day 371cals is only max 19 syns if you apply the 20kcals = 1 syn rule so fuck knows where they got 25.5 from unless 371 is without sauce and the syn calculation is with as you say.

For next time, there is a pasta dish that isn’t on the menu anymore in pizza express, but they will still make for you if you ask, that is only about 6 syns if I remember correctly. I’ll try and remember what it’s called.

Had a post weigh in treat of cheesy garlic bread (about 20 syns!) and my last bit of Easter chocolate a galaxy ripple (think it was 9 syns). So worth it, but they were the only syns I had all day so not too bad as long as I don’t max out syns every day this week.

Am going to a friends for lunch and taking my leftover SW turkey chilli with me. Trying so hard to stay on plan this week while I’m off work with DS. Museum tomorrow and I’m going to make lunch and take it with me. Friday is going to be the tricky day as we are going to the seaside and there will probably be fish and chips....

PinkUnicorn1990 · 10/04/2018 07:30

Looks yummy titsywoo!

WI this morning (I'm doing SW online) and another 2lb, so 8lb over 4 weeks Grin I don't think I have ever felt so positive on a plan!

B-muller light
L- leftover sausage casserole
D- slow cooker bolognese and pasta (syn free)
S- fibre one brownie

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2018 07:30

It’s leggerra pollo arribiata. Chicken and tomato pasta dish, 6.5 syns.

Flutterby81 · 10/04/2018 08:08

Well done @pinkunicorn
@muminthecity I bet you will see a good loss next week to refelext the gain this week I think sometimes it just takes our body’s a while to catch up.
Off food shopping today so I’m sat here deciding what to make for dinners I hate this part of the week Hmm

boats16 · 10/04/2018 08:10

Congratulations Oldowl Star

Testarossa1 · 10/04/2018 09:46

I ate my last Easter chocolate last night, 9 syns, so took me over by 8. But a whole week till weigh in, so plenty of time to balance it out! Off for a swim this morning too.

B - branflakes, plain yoghurt, honey
L - SW 'fry up'
D - slow cooker bolognase and pasta

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2018 09:56

Forgot to bring my SW chilli for lunch! So annoyed with myself.

Groovee · 10/04/2018 10:02

Weighing in tonight. Quite nervous.
