Re the SW banquet rice, I found it ok, probably the nicest SW meal so far, which tbh the bar isn’t high as I don’t like any of them. Tried the pork noodles from the new stuff, didn’t rate it. The pak choi was all slimy and minging. Also have the prawn laksa to try. I live in hope that one of them will be nice enough to keep as a go to when I do a freezer surprise tea.

boats16 · 13/04/2018 14:41

@ Alemony - youre right ,the bar isnt that high, but I would eat that one again if I was desparate. Have you had the lasagne ? I have that to look forward to this week ???????

ALemonyPea · 13/04/2018 15:19

The lasagne was ok, I put my HEA Cheese on top for added flavour. The white sauce on top isn’t cheesy, it’s made for butternut squash.

calzone · 13/04/2018 17:43

The beef lasagne is dire.

Really bad.

I’m too scared to try the veggie lasagne but it’s in my freezer.

Testarossa1 · 13/04/2018 18:58

I've had 1 sw ready meal. Ham and mushroom farfalle. Sauce wasn't bad, but the ham was like rubber, I had to pick it all as I couldn't eat it!! I'll stick to cooking myself, just had a gorgeous stir fry, pork in a Chinese 5 spice sauce. 1 syn for half this pan! Lots of flavour.

Oh god I've had so many of the sw meals and they've all been awful.

Groovee · 13/04/2018 19:26

I had the paella and didn't like it. But used the recipe on the box and loved my own cooked one lol x

I find the school holidays hard as well Basin. It's the lack of routine which throws me. I also find because the kids are on holiday I let them eat more rubbish and that means I want to as well.

Groovee · 14/04/2018 08:41

I feel ill. Have had 2 weeks to be ill. Sore throat, glands, ears.

Am taking my mum to see Peter Rabbit today. Belated Mother's Day treat.

Tomorrow off for a spa day with DH and a night away.

Ended up being just chips for tea last night so nowhere near on plan. Added up my calories for the day and was 2000 so shouldn’t be an issue really, but I can feel the water retention from the salt! Trying desperately not to weigh myself.

Out for the day again today so again not much control over what I have.

I’ve tried a few SW meals and I thought the curries were all nice, although I’m not sure they are still the same as they change the meals frequently I think? But anything else has been awful. Might go and have a look next week and get some curries for the freezer for can’t be arsed days.

Been gym this morning and just had weetabix with milk for breakfast.

Tj9694 · 14/04/2018 10:36

Hi everyone
Hoping I'm OK to join. On my fourth week now and 9.5lbs off which I'm pleased with Grin
Currently breastfeeding so I'm allowed 6 healthy extras a day but baby is starting solid food so having to slowly reduce the healthy extras now which I think is going to be a struggle for the first few weeks.
Hoping to pick up some inspiration and tips from you all Smile

Tweetypie30 · 14/04/2018 16:31

It's so sunny here today. It makes me want to be slim for summer. I know I'm not going to be at target by then but it would be lovely to have lost another stone or so and feel better about myself.

What is everyone having for tea? We're having meat free burgers with slimming world chips and salad.

FrozenMargarita17 · 14/04/2018 16:40

I've been totally off plan today but you can't have it all can you!

Pie and mash and a peanut butter muffin.. eep!

mayathebee · 14/04/2018 17:09

FrozenM - never mind. Just start again tomorrow.

Tweetiepie - I feel the same. I can't remember a summer that didn't involve looking for clothes that cover me up without me overheating.

Welcome TJ.

Groovee- hope you are feeling better. Did you enjoy Peter Rabbit?

I've had a pretty good day so far - fruit and yogurt for breakfast then cous cous with chicken, tomatoes, cucumber and corn for lunch. I'm planning on a zinger burger with Cajun fries for dinner. Has anyone tried the zinger burger made with chilli Doritos? I'm going to try the halloumi and cous cous burgers tomorrow.

Groovee · 14/04/2018 17:36

Peter Rabbit was fab but I forgot to ensure I had prepared lunch. So at 3pm I threw a wobbler in Sainsbury's. Ended up in Tesco having sushi.

We had cheeseburger pasta and pizza and salad. So yummy.

Spa day tomorrow. This will be a challenge.

BasinHaircut · 15/04/2018 07:49

Well yesterday was a disaster! Line drawn, start again this morning.

Breakfast: weetabix and milk.

Back to normality tomorrow, DS back at school, me back to work. Really don’t want to WI tomorrow. I know any gain is going to be temporary, mainly due to salty food etc but psychologically I’m not sure whether I’d be better off booking holiday and just waiting till next week for my next WI?

calzone · 15/04/2018 08:24

Just face it Basin.

I’ve done what you are planning to do so many times and it just doesn’t work.

Or maybe go. Weigh in. Ask them not to tell you and look at your book in your own time.

I do that a lot.
