A brand new thread for 2016.....:)

For old and new members alike....please join in and post food plans, meal ideas, how you use syns, weight losses and gains, how you feel.

I started exactly a year ago on 4 January 2015.
I weighed 14st 3lbs and was a size 16. Bloated and uncomfortable, I was mortified when I saw the scales.
In week 1, I lost 9lbs which has motivated me ever since.
I currently weigh 11st 3.5lbs and just missed my 3 stone certificate at Xmas. Put on 2lbs last week and not really expecting a loss this week but I want to get to 11 stone and then re set my target to 10 stone 7lbs.

I have gone down to a comfortable size 12 and even wore a size 10 Fat Face dress yesterday.

So, let's do this.

I feel quite excited. SW has definitely changed my life......:)

Great losses Emily
I managed a half off which I'll take after Sunday's wine and cheese Blush
1lb to my stone and a half award - next weeks target

2boysnamedR · 19/01/2016 10:18

Can I join? Not been to SW since September after being a member for two years. I lost two stone but put it on after having my Dd.

Wright in this morning and I weigh more than ever! I just want to loose two stone or 1 lb a week this year. Get a sensible and manageable goal so I can keep going

knowler · 19/01/2016 10:56

Well done losers! I'm a bit gutted as weigh in today and I've put on half a pound! Irritated because I thought I'd done OK. Not downhearted though, I'm going to take the opportunity to re set myself and be totally on plan this week. Might even try SP but I do like my carbs :)

BasinHaircut · 19/01/2016 11:56

Nice one Emily!

Don't let it get to you knowler, remember that weight loss is not usually linear and it's the long term loss that counts.

The weekly weigh is useful to make sure you are on track, and so you are right to look at it as a positive and an opportunity to reset. But I think for our true weight loss it's over longer periods that we need to be looking at.

Pisghetti · 19/01/2016 13:09

Today for me is:
B - overnight oats HeB with Black Forest fruits
S - 3 x babybel light HeA, apple, yogurt (1 Syn)
L - chickpea eggah HeA (recipe from SW website - delicious! No courgettes at the supermarket so subbed in shredded sprouts) and mixed leaves
D - going to mum's house so not too sure. Probably baked potato, steamed veg and a veggie burger

WineAndIntrigue · 19/01/2016 14:37

Food diary for today!

B - Toffee Muller Light
L - Leftover chicken and sweetcorn (1syn mayo) in a salad w/ tomato, cucumber, and a boiled egg + 3x Babybel Lights for my HexA
D - Egg muffins on Kingsmill Wholemeal Thin (HexB), wedges, tomatoes
Snacks - apple

Going to be making baked oats for the first time tonight - really looking forward to basically having cake for breakfast tomorrow!

KittyOShea · 19/01/2016 14:50

OrianaBanana · 19/01/2016 15:02

Kitty it's here: www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/baked-oats.aspx

Some in my group make it with HEA milk quite successfully.

1 syn for cooked fruit if using oats as your HEB

wowser3 · 19/01/2016 15:02

My weigh in at home is Saturday , had a sneaky peek just now when I woke up, and I am a pound heavier than Saturday!! Is this not s wise move to have a sneak look? Do you think it might even out by Saturday? Confused

emmaluvseeyore · 19/01/2016 15:14

wowser don't weigh mid-week! We fluctuate so much it is only going to lead to disappointment. Don't worry about it and wait until Saturday to get your true weight.

In other news, I came on this morning and all I want to do is curl up in a ball and eat. So far I've been good, but I did skip fit steps today. Really didn't feel like it!

KittyOShea · 19/01/2016 15:31

Thanks oriana Smile looks tasty!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 19/01/2016 15:34

OMG I have gone way off course today, after my delish free pancakes this morning! There were no healthy options at soft play so I had a tuna & cheese toastie which came with crisps Hmm God knows how many syns but I'm going to assume at least 15. I was going to try that pastito tonight but might just have a salad instead! Weigh in tomorrow eek!

emwithme · 19/01/2016 15:51

Definitely agree to the not weighing mid-week, although this is a "Do as I say, not as I do" because I weigh myself every time I go into the bathroom. I can sometimes have wees that weigh 2 lbs (morning wee). I am usually 5 lbs heavier at night than in the morning (food/drink etc). Despite being a scientist, DH has not been able to explain why, if I have neither ingested nor excreted anything, I can lose said 5 lbs overnight again (I weighed myself right before bed and then - without moving the scales - first thing in the morning before having a wee)

I am having an SP day today, and I thank past-me for making eggy muffins and meatballs last night.

Brunch: Bacon, eggy muffins, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms. Tassimo cappuccino (2 syns)
Lunch: Eggy muffins, meatballs, cherry tomatoes, babybels (HEA)
Dinner: Tuna steak, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, kale. Satsumas, apple.
Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

EmilyK83 · 19/01/2016 16:14

All I've eaten today is cake. A big slice of cake after weigh in. Oops.

Dinner will be turkey mince and a shed load of speed, no idea what to make yet but still lots of time to decide! May have a pear in the meantime...

BasinHaircut · 19/01/2016 16:41

Breakfast - porridge and 1tsp of sugar (1syn)

Lunch - leftover risotto (say 6 syns) and lots of lettuce

Snack - banana

Dinner - beef kheema and sag aloo.

I've got a yoghurt in the fridge that expired yesterday so might eat that later too (2.5 syns)

mutley1 · 19/01/2016 16:45

Can I ask..... What happens when we reach 1000 posts?

EmilyK83 · 19/01/2016 17:34

New thread starts! Think it was calzone who's started the new threads in the past?

(Yes, I lurked before joining and read all the old ones... Grin)

BasinHaircut · 19/01/2016 17:44

Hopefully there will be a link to the new thread on this thread?

When it exists I mean!

overitalready · 19/01/2016 17:52

B - 3 poached eggs on toast with spread

L - Fruit and yogurt

D - Pork chop with mash, cabbage, peas and gravy

S - Cadbury snack

Buttwing · 19/01/2016 17:52

Hmm not a good day for me too much chocolate and too many biscuits.

Weigh in tomorrow I'm not expecting a loss, I'm due on my period (hence the chocolate craving) and had a big curry this week so as long as it's not more than a pound gain I will be happy,

Ain626 · 19/01/2016 17:56

Weigh in today.. down 3.5lbs. Happy with that. I was aiming for 2, so all good.

Though I was kinda expecting it as I too am naughty and step on the scales between weigh in days.

If I manage 1.5 next week I will hit the weight I was at the end of November (I didn't go to sw in the whole of December! It clearly had an effect!). If I manage 3.5 again I will get my stone award. Not sure whether to aim for 3.5 in one week or to stick to my plan of aiming for 2lb a week...

FoofFighter · 19/01/2016 18:07

Well done to today's losers Grin and hello to today's newcomers :)

B: HEXB crunchy bran, ff natural yogurt, banana, plum
L Sushi 3, HM veg soup
T SW stovies and mixed veg - My stovies don't look like any stovies I've had before hahaha first time making it - still tasty though!

Still got hexa to have, might have an almond milk cocoa later, also found some of the elusive Banoffee Alpen light 3 in Tesco today on offer £1, so supper will be that with some fruit

blondiep14 · 19/01/2016 18:23

Have had such a 'cheat day' today.
Came home and had biscuits after my wmeal toast and then out to lunch with MIL which saw me have a smoked salmon sarnie.
DD brought home a mangled minion cake from preschool, which I ate, and then dinner I had a SW burger in a thin with cheese and gherkins and a handful of oven chips.

Best get on it tomorrow for the rest of the week. Really want my stone and a half award next week, minimum.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 19/01/2016 18:32

B - banana pancakes and berries, coffee and tea
L - cheese (HE? :)) and tuna toastie on white bread (HE?? Grin), crisps and salad. Was totally lush though. No idea how many syns, probably fat cheese and probably had Mayo in so I'm going to assume 15+ syns.
Snack: options and yoghurt, 4 syns
Dinner will be salad and homemade spinach soup, so free :)

Carriemac · 19/01/2016 18:46

First week 3 1/2 pounds. Not too bad, was out 4 nights last week so not an ideal, start. Going no where this week!
