Slimming World

Starting again... Anyone looking for a buddy?

Okay, so I'm going to start Slimming World again. I lost about three stone last year on it after having my DD but I've put it all back on and more :/ and I feel stuck in a massive rut.

This time however, I'm back at work so can't make it to group, so will be doing it from home. If anyone else is thinking about starting SW, or already has, I'd love to have someone to chat to and check in with! Anybody? Smile

I used 27 syns one day (oops) and then close to maximum every other day apart from non on Tuesday. I just had a really bad week I planned well and then just didn't stick to it!
I didn't take any measurements, my jeans feel a little looser but that's all. Think I may measure myself tomorrow, I'm only 9 pounds from target but am 99 percent sure I will be lowering it!
How's you day been?

Better than yesterday, thanks. I couldn't decide what to have for lunch yesterday and ended up having a random boiled egg, ryvita and laughing cow cheese combo - yeuch, if you get the chance, don't bother!

This evening I couldn't decide what to have for tea - the rest of the family had chips done in the Actifry and pork chops. I had a mix of baked beans with lentils I found in the fridge, actifry chips and sweetcorn. I synned the oil I did the chips in - pure laziness because I couldn't be bothered to make the 'syn free' chips.

I really must get more organised about meal planning!

It's only my second week so I haven't started hitting the syns properly yet - I'm still on the SW honeymoon Grin

Weigh-in tomorrow.

Good luck Katie.
I weighed in last night and had a much better week...I managed to lose 7lbs so thats 11.5lbs in total in 2 weeks!
I did a lot of walking last week so it must be the body magic working!

Well done green that's amazing! I'm off for a walk later with DD so hope that helps with the weight loss.

Good luck for tonight Katie and Where.

Not sure what to eat today, I'm thinking an egg bacon and feta salad (2.5 syns) for lunch. Not sure what to have for dinner. Maybe steak with a jacket potato and a spinach garlic and peppercorn sauce with broccoli.

What's everyone else eating today?

It's GreenCurlyTeeth here. My own user name was making me feel sick so I've changed !

becks I go walking with my DD too! She is almost 12 and it's nice to walk around chatting to each other. At home she can be a grumpy mare but when we are out she seems to open up Smile

For lunch I think I'll have left over veg curry and rice from last night. Not sure about tea yet, I'll have a look on the SW site for inspiration. I try not to cook separate meals for me so need to find something to feed all of us and leave DD and DP feeling satisfied.

Well, I'm gutted!!

I tried so hard and I've only lost half a pound. So frustrating.

My consultant looked at my food diary and said I wasn't doing anything wrong it just sometimes goes that way.

I'm going to buy loads of green veg on the way home!

Pah

Oh where, that is disappointing. Have you been drinking enough? Is it time of the month. Maybe its water retention?

You just need to look at it as a loss, better than STS or putting on. You'll probably get a great loss next week. Smile

A loss is a loss id rather loose 0.5 then put it on Smile
My turn in a couple of hours!

Good luck Katie. Come and tell us how it goes

What's everyone having for Saturday tea?

I'm doing chicken skewers with peppers, red onion, mushrooms, and tomato in a Chinese marinade, served with special fried rice, and corn on the cob. Should keep me going for the night shift tonight!

That dinner sounds lovely. I'm not to sure what I will have yet most likely pasta as dc have eaten and oh at work.
We was told at group about the new Iceland low fat ready meals not sure if anyone would be interested. I got two today to keep in the freezer just in case. I got a macaroni cheese (four syns) and a chicken curry (five syns)

Tried on a pair of jeans I've not been able to get past my knees in two years and they got right the way up to my bum! I think I'm going to use them as motivation.

I've had today:
Breakfast: strawberries and a alpen bar
Snack: carrots sticks and alpen bar
Lunch: 2 poached eggs, slimming world chips, ham and spaghetti hoops.
Il have some more fruit later and I also grabbed a mugshot from tesco in roast chicken flavour as it's no syns, wish me luck with that one!

Well tea was yummy and really filling. I couldn't eat it all. I'm trying to recognise when I'm full and not over eat.

Today I had:
Breakfast: 2 weetabix with skimmed milk.
Lunch: was fruit and a yoghurt
Dinner: chicken skewers, corn on the cob and special fried rice. Yoghurt for dessert.

I'm on a night shift tonight, not sure what to take with me yet. Probably cherry toms, cucumber, and feta to munch on and a couple of biscuits to go with a cuppa, maybe a banana too.

Report

Katiekins90 · 12/07/2014 19:13

What sort of biscuits do you have with your cuppa? All the ones I look at work out to high in syns!

I have malted milks. 2syns each. I usually haven't used any syns all day so have 2-4 with a cup of tea or coffee once DD is in bed. Sometimes I have a custard cream (3 syns each)

Well done one the loss! What was your slimmer of the week basket like? Ours isn't up to much lol

Report

Cannotbelieveit · 13/07/2014 13:43

Lots of fresh fruit, homegrown veg, mug shots, hi light bars, lots of tinned stuff, bubble bath? Diet drinks, low cal tonic waters etc

Report

beckslovestimmy · 13/07/2014 14:04

Wow cannot, great loss and the SOTW basket sounds great! Ours usually looks like a few bits of over ripe fruit Hmm I'm looking forward to that first number dropping when getting on the scales. That's my first 'mini' target. Weigh day for me tomorrow.
