I've just come on here to see if there's a thread about this as it's bloody annoying and underhand. Every other site I've used has a reject all option. This will seriously jeopardise me continuing to use mumsnet as I know exactly what they're trying to do Angry I'm on a Huawei on the website. Although I'm not sure why you need that information as it is clearly NOT device specific Hmm

randomchap · 27/10/2020 17:25

Still happening.

Is the site going ahead with a reject all option, and if so, will it reject the so-called legitimate interest cookies.

Safari on an iphone. And i get no “choices” , only an option to accept all. Really not happy. Is this a financial thing, ie more revenue if we are forced to accept all settings?

Is the ‘glitch’ tied to the use of an adblocker at all?

Edge on a Windows laptop here. I never reject, just click the Accept button. No adblocker . And I'm still seeing that damned popup multiple times.

Still happening - safari on iPad.

I accept them every time but still get the pop up.

iVampire · 27/10/2020 18:07

@mhhq

I see you’ve posted again, but you missed my question

  • is there a way to get back in to check my preferences are what I want them to be and amend them if they’re not?

I've just searched for the answer but could only find the cookie policy. www.mumsnet.com/info/cookie-policy

That page was last updated about 5 year ago. As gdpr has been in effect for over 2 years this needs to be updated.

Is there a link to the current cookie policies anywhere?

I came here to post the same thing, literally every time I open MN on phone or pc I’m having to reconfirm my cookies choices. It’s really annoying me to the point if not wanting to come on here. I’m not logging out so why am I having to do this?

BabbleBee · 27/10/2020 21:56

Same here, I came to start a thread about it as it’s really annoying having to scroll through and click off on all the options.
I do not want my data to be collected by multiple vendors, even if it’s claimed to be legitimate interest.

rogueogue · 28/10/2020 07:32

@soniamumsnet

Hi, thanks for all these reports. We'll pass on the feedback re. a single button. Flowers
You used to have a "reject all" button but you've taken it away. That may have been deliberate or an oversight when you moved to the new platform, but either way I'm disappointed. It's not what I would have expected from Mumsnet.
rogueogue · 28/10/2020 07:56

@ManiacalMumsnet if I decline all the cookies (including all the vendor preferences), submit my choices, and then immediately scroll to the bottom of the page and choose 'Privacy Settings' I find that they are all still turned on. It sounds as if other people are having the same problem. Are you talking to Google about fixing this?

Something to check: Is it that users need to (ironically) change their Google privacy settings to accept cookies from Mumsnet in order that the Mumsnet privacy settings will be saved. I hope not, but I've seen this paradoxical instruction stated on some other websites.

Frdd · 28/10/2020 08:12

I’m getting it really frequently and I’ve ended up accepting all because going through and declining all doesn’t get saved. And it takes ages to go through and decline each one individually.

It isn’t proportionate or reasonable to ask people to do this every few minutes.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 28/10/2020 08:17

Still happening this morning. Please make it stop!

Frdd · 28/10/2020 08:20

Also. I’m getting it when I’m not logged in.

And one of the buttons when I looked said something about offline data. What do you mean by that?

LedaandtheSwan · 28/10/2020 08:20

Yup, just now...Chrome on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.
