Does MNHQ Check Our Inboxes?

Just wondering. I received a private message and sent 2 replies and now the recipient has received a message from MNHQ saying the replies were removed at my request. Except that's not true, I made no such request.

Oh I've had a message in my inbox put when I go into my inbox it says message deleted at request of sender, I didn't think much of it as a while ago some one was spamming FWR regulars (im a regular name changer) with abusive message s which @MNHQ removed, so thought it might be similar

This has obviously been happening to a few people today because I also had a message deleted at request of sender.

Does it say "This message has been removed at user request" or is it an actual message from MNHQ?
I have quite a few of those in my inbox which are all messages from one username. I just assumed the user had deleted the messages in their outbox and it automatically deleted the corresponding ones from my inbox too. Just guessing though.

Gosh- I have received some very odd messages over the years-on the edge if creepy but never removed.

Do you think they search for key words? That sounds a bit creepy. I have had begging messages and sex messages that were not removed.

It's a glitch. It happens sometimes.
I contacted an old MN mate via inbox and we chatted for a few days then when I went to look again, it said the messages had been removed at her request. I was a bit hurt but when I asked her, she had had the same with my messages.

Oooh I received a message on my inbox and now I have checked it says message received at user's request.

So MNHQ must be checking our messages.

@MNHQ why not check them and deal with the user who PM'd me out of the blue ? Ah, that would because it wasn't about someone possibly providing details of a new forum so not in your business interests to deal with, eh?

This was about a year ago.

Odd that it is happening to lots of people on the same day though?
Is it related to a premium subscription maybe?

Have all these people having their messages read and deleted signed up to premium? Or not signed up?

They have done in the past when there was a spate of errr spam type stuff going on.

Thanks for the replies. Could be a glitch. I haven't signed up to Premium, although interestingly the messages that have disappeared were on that topic.

And yes, it has made me concerned about security.

That sounds like hacking to me?

Messages were probably about that new site.

The message is received and replied to was from a long-standing member. All a bit strange.

I thought that private messaging was private?

Nobody messages me lol
