Just wondering. I received a private message and sent 2 replies and now the recipient has received a message from MNHQ saying the replies were removed at my request. Except that's not true, I made no such request.

Hello Admins, sock puppets and minions from the other side. Hope you're all doing well today. You're welcome to this thread (Not that you need my welcome. Stealth mode is your forte).😂

BirchBark · 20/04/2020 15:48

What's the difference between mums.chat posters laughing at MN and MN posters laughing at mums.chat, then? You're doing exactly what you're accusing them of.

OldRumbly · 20/04/2020 16:33

The 'report' button was removed from some members accounts after they made several harassment reports to Admin. Admin locked their messages and declared on a thread that everyone should find their own way around the site because they were receiving too many messages from members. These users were frozen out and had no way to contact Admin for any issues. They left the site after they realised sock puppets or minions were planted to have private "supportive" conversations with them. The ones now openly laughing about those conversations on a thread. Some people were also banned for making reports. Apparently the reported bullies are part of the clique and are still there.

This is the site claiming to be better than Mumsnet. This is what some people don't get. It's not about us doing the same thing. No one here has claimed to be "better" than anybody. No one here said anything against the site till they showed why they exist. They're the ones making claims of a moral high ground, fairies and rainbows and as you can see, they're doing the same thing only...worse. Everyone would be up in arms if MNHQ froze out some members and took site features away from them (not ban them for breaking the rules cos they'd done nothing wrong) as some sort of sick punishment for daring to speak up against trolls and bullies on this site. This is what some people aren't seeing. Fine, we're all bad but can they admit this too? They're like the devil in disguise.

Chickpeees · 20/04/2020 16:45

I have no idea what’s going on but some people do maliciously report and I sent a few in but still kept the report button on my account.

It’s no skin off my nose and I won’t be keeping my account since finding out the Reddit connection but if others are happy there it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

GoatHat · 20/04/2020 17:53

'Some people were also banned for making reports. Apparently the reported bullies are part of the clique and are still there.'
Are you sure? That all sounds a bit dramatic for something that has only been going a few days. The spamming here and very apparent inconsistent modding is all a bit embarrassing.

They need talk guidelines Grin. I'll help them out -

  1. Mumschatters can criticise Justine, mnhq and it's users excessively and repeatedly but that is it, no other chat site must ever be discussed. Ever. Especially Tattle.

I'm going to sign up, point this out and see how long it takes until I'm banned.

OldRumbly · 22/04/2020 09:06

@GoatHat 100% sure. Even Reddit trolls have a thread or two on them. Apparently, they doxxed people on that other site (a.k.a the hypocrites site) like they did to a user here, only this time with real names. The one who reported the doxxing got banned (probably for being a reddit troll member spying on them?) and the people who doxxed them received a pat on the back for a job well done. Name had to be removed though. It's amazing what has happened there in a short space of time and if one wasn't looking, it could easily be missed. One can only imagine the atrocities after they've been around for quite a while.

Oh and when you sign up, make sure your pledge of allegiance (first post) includes how you loathe MNHQ and glad to have escaped that prison, how their site is a haven filled with wonderful and friendly people even though you've only just found it and for extra points, include how you can't wait to join in the 'bring down MNHQ' bandwagon. That's it, you're in. You'll be welcomed with open arms into the fold.
That's where some people went wrong - they thought it was a site that allowed for fair and reasonable analysis or being on the fence about both sites (a.k.a not being full on "Die MNHQ!" - Have you seen that thread?) without going on their watchlist of targeted users.
The socks, trolls and minions are usually the ones making a song and dance on every thread over how much they hate socks, trolls, troll hunting, etc and how well they've secured their account to keep stalkers away, etc. They've made sure to appear to clearly be against everything they themselves are doing behind the scenes, to keep under the radar.

Anyway....goodluck on your findings. Haven't updated myself on what's going on here or there since my last post. Couldn't brave the cesspit anylonger. It's just all a bit useless tbh.

Chickpeees · 22/04/2020 11:02

I wouldn’t get in to the doxxing thing as I recognised a friend that they were posting about on that site and it was the main Reddit site. I am reporting your post because you are clearly one of them and I doubt they want you on here causing trouble about that.
If it was the poster who did the original doxxing then I have no sympathy because you have no idea of what’s she has done or the repercussions.

Chickpeees · 22/04/2020 11:35

And @OldRumbly if you are justifying what they did then shame on you because your friends posted real names and clues on that sub and it was doxxing several people. If admin read their messages then I am pleased because they probably don’t want the same thing on the new site. If one of your fellow Reddit buddies had it done to them it serves them right.

OldRumbly · 22/04/2020 12:00

@Chickpeas one of who? Sorry who doxxed whom? I meant the people on the new site doxxed someone from reddit, as far as I know. The doxxing post is right there both on the new site and reddit. I haven't read any of their other threads on reddit except ones to do with the hypocrite site. I also haven't checked there since my last post 2 days ago. I knew of the doxxing initially from the hypocrite site when someone complained and Admin shut it down. I have no idea what you've gotten from my post. I think doxxing is shameful whomever does it and should be reported. I have only said what I've seen with my own eyes but have refrained from using anyone's name, instead pointing people to where they can go look it up for themselves. Not part of either Reddit or the hypocrite site. Not sure why you'd say that but ok. Report away.

OldRumbly · 22/04/2020 12:04

If that's the case, then fair enough. That's their war - doxxing each other. Was only saying what I saw happen. Not picking sides between the two sites, although I don't support doxxing from any site. If I did, i would supplied names on my posts.

OldRumbly · 22/04/2020 12:08

@Chickpeees

ChicChicChicChiclana · 22/04/2020 13:42

It looks like chickpees has misunderstood you OldRumbly.

I am enjoying this thread and am kind of Shock that HQ have left it up although as it's progressed it is starting to make Mumsnet look better run than the op of this thread had hoped.

I give the new lovely site a week or two before it all goes titsup and breakaway groups and private chats start happening.

Everyone thought MNTrolls on Reddit was a good thing when it started ... see how that turned out.

OldRumbly · 22/04/2020 13:58

Yes I think so too cos the accusation came out of nowhere and was so unexpected, I wondered if I had read it wrong😄. It's honestly a bit much, the whole drama and I haven't given it any more thought till I logged back in here today. Still going to keep it that way, I've allowed it take too much of my time Grin

GoatHat · 22/04/2020 15:46

'admin read their messages then I am pleased because they probably don’t want the same thing on the new site.'

True but how funny in a matter of days they're snooping on The Chatter's pms and yet this thread is complaining about mnhq having to do that here but it was only to see off the desperate admin spammer!

'give the new lovely site a week or two before it all goes titsup and breakaway groups and private chats start happening.'

Yes, they'll be all be moaning once they see how the head teacher admin over there is trigger happy with the banhammer and delete button.

Chickpeees · 22/04/2020 22:33

Not misunderstanding at all as I have just had a look. The Reddit poster who is whinging about being doxxed was the one who was originally doxxing other people, so I have no sympathy for her.

Chickpeees · 22/04/2020 22:33

If it even happened Hmm

MarmaladeTomcat · 23/04/2020 04:10

Reading members' private messages
Banning
Doxxing
Odd punishment for watchlist targets whose crime is not being on the I hate MNHQ brigade.
Bullying
Sock puppeting
Trolling
Cliques
Denial of mod and member affiliation with Tattle and Reddit.
In house fighting and sneering.
Excessive criticism of mnhq
Spamming other sites
Admin/Mod involvement in all of it

All present on the new site barely a month in. Blimey, they've started out with a bang! Must be a shitshow there already so not bothering to look.

BirchBark · 23/04/2020 10:05

Don't believe everything you've read on this thread, Marmalade. Though the fact that you've repeated all the lies points mentioned here, one could almost believe that you're reiterating it to shit-stir. I'm sure that's not what you're doing at all.

JoMumsnet · 23/04/2020 10:59

We can see that this thread's going a bit off topic so we think now is as good a time as any to draw it to a close.

We feel we've answered the various concerns raised by the OP and other posters (please see HebeMumsnet's post - Mon 20-Apr-20 11:35:54 - for our final word) but we'd really rather that threads in Site Stuff remained focused on what's happening on our site, not elsewhere.

Please feel free to get in touch via our [email protected] email if you have any further concerns - we're more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have about PMs.

Many thanks.
