Seasons greetings one and all

We're happy to announce our new Talk App for Android is now ready to go and available for download from the Google Play store, just in time for Christmas too.

As this is our first crack at the Android version, we will be adding more features and updates as we go along. At this stage we'd really appreciate your feedback (good and bad...) about using the app and if it's working for you. Let us know how you get on.

Many thanks to all of our testers. Please delete the test app and download this one instead.

Is it just me who can only reply in one long line when typing my message? The message box doesn't automatically line break so if I want to go back and check what I wrote at the beginning of this post I have to scroll back along a long single line! Even if I press the line break button it does nothing.

Anticyclone nope, same here. Pretty annoying. Also still the smileys are not correct.

Same here anticyclone Driving me nuts. I can't see a search function either, which would be helpful.

Glad it's not just me! This is the single most annoying thing about the app currently and should really be top of the priority list to sort out.

We have released an update for Android with the following bug fixes:

• Double posting error
• Not being able to post paragraphs or line breaks
• You can now start a thread in the topics page

The update should be available in the next 2-24 hours

I'm new to mumsnet I'm on the app but when I've commented on a thread and go back to it a bit later it takes me back to the very beginning not where I last left. Am I doing something wrong?

How do I post photos please?

We are releasing another update for the Android Talk app.
We are introducing the new Search feature to Android which allows you to search our threads on Talk.
The release also includes some bug fixes.

Currently there is not an option to attach photos on the app but we are working on implementing this and more features very soon.

Still can't add photos...this is getting bloody ridiculous now!!!?

Just downloaded your (android) app and I see other people have mentioned the lack of bookmarking. I seem to have the option to bookmark but even when I do, the thread just opens randomly in the middle and I have to flick to find my place.

I also find that 'threads I'm watching' doesn't update when I remove one, plus I acquired one I've never even opened never mind 'watched'

Any updates in development?

App currently isn't letting me watch, bookmark or reply. Is it just me? I get the standard oops error message for the first two, and nothing happens when I got the reply button...

The buttons on the Android app aren't working for me either. I have had to come to the main site to post this.

Just started using the app and loving, but I've managed to add too many of the same to favourites. I currently have 4 Chats added, how do I delete 3 and some others, how do I do that?

We're really sorry to hear the app isn't endearing itself to some of you right now. We've passed all your feedback on to our tech team and they are looking into this for you.

Redpriestandmozart - try clearing your cache to fix that one, just
go to settings>applications>talk>clear cache. That should sort it

Hi HQ, just wondered if there's any update? Have now deleted the app and am hardly ever on the site now :(

Trying to use mobile site (Chrome on Samsung galaxy 8 if that helps) and things a bit better but can't bookmark... the three dots to the right are there but the menu doesn't offer a bookmark option. Is anyone listening?

Just downloaded it to see if I could use it to post pictures, but that's not working either. I can't post pictures from either Firefox or Chrome on my mobile or laptop, so I assume attachments are borked.
