Rebecca, reposting from last night - I think some posts are being missed due to the chat nature of the thread maybe

I have a lot of sent messages and am struggling to delete them, I'm only on a phone. Inbox ones went fine.

Olivia, No one answered previous question (just prior to ddos yesterday so understandable) but there seems to be no select all and delete option in the Sent items of Pms?

Thanks for this.

PMs work in the same way as email and text, once they are sent, you have no control over them. If you have PMd your address or other personal info you are concerned about, you will need to ask the person that you sent the message to to remove it.

Deleting messages from your inbox will not remove them from the recipients inbox.

We can and have removed all PMs for deregistered users.

I think Velma means that she is unable to delete her copies of sent messaged from her own Sent box as the delete button is missing.

Gymbunny - I think what people are trying to say is that the only page that has httpS is the log in page. All other pages are just http without the S.

I was threatened on Twitter by 'him'. Firstly a huge thank you to MNHQ for being so on the ball that they got in touch with me before I'd even seen the threat

I've spoken to a member of MNHQ and a slightly bemused policeman about the threats. So far, nothing has happened to me. I've locked my Twitter account, but I have to mention that I wasn't using my real name on there anyway. It might have looked real-ish but it wasn't. It's also different to the fake name I use on FB. This is thanks to my employers strict social media policy for which I now thank them! I didn't engage with, or reply to, the threat which may have helped.

I didn't take the threat very seriously at first. I assumed he was baiting everyone who was tweeting. It was a bit shocking to realise he had singled me, and I think one other user, out for abuse.

I, like probably many other people, have possibly been far too complacent about my online security. But I will not be scared off. MN has been an invaluable source of support for me and many others. One sad little dickface will not change that. And one day my dear, if you are reading this, you will be an injoke, a meme, the thing that NC posters like me use to prove they're not a newbie. Which, frankly, is more attention than you deserve.

Gym - apologies if I'm also being daft but did you actually type 'https.www.mn'? If so it needs to be :// between http and www not a full stop. I'm sure you probably did do :// but just incase

Talking of NC, I think there's something 'broke' in the link between the ID history and the box you fill in to change names, HQ.

Gym, that was a bit rude to Lweji who was trying to help since you seem to be struggling to understand what countless posters have already tried to explain! Pretty sure she got the "dot com" bit but YOU didn't get the :// part. In any case only the login page is https. FFS.
