@TheHoneyBadger

just marking place sorry - bookmarking doesn't seem to work for me

Morning Honey,

Have you checked in customise to make sure that it's turned on?

TheHoneyBadger · 26/08/2015 09:04

just a couple of times now i know i've bookmarked a thread then when i come back to it it just takes me to the first page. only recently. could be me.

Simurgh · 26/08/2015 09:12

I think that bookmarking is a little flakey at the moment but then it's had such moments in the past. It's difficult right now, as an ordinary user, to distinguish between everyday system frailties and the after-effects of Jeffrey's machinations.

StEdmundsPippins · 26/08/2015 09:14

Morning all and a great big thankyou to the Mumsnet team for all their hard work. Flowers

Can I just say that like Millliii I only have http in the address bar, rather than https.

I was one of the ones on 'the list' of names who had been hacked - albeit under a different name and password, does that make any difference?

Simurgh · 26/08/2015 09:21

I would just assume that any information you had is potentially out there, StEdmundsPippins, and make the appropriate changes to a range of accounts. I also was on the list but I would be doing that even if I hadn't been.

Blodss · 26/08/2015 09:25

Cockwomb police do get defrienfed and further referals to counselling if needed.

Only the login page is https

Kryten2X4B523P · 26/08/2015 09:36

I've had a couple of bookmark fails, but assumed it was the same issue that was giving me blank pages sometimes.

Gymbunny1204 · 26/08/2015 09:54

Wondering why I'm bothering to post as never had a single response re the hacking but anyway

Just typed in https.www.mumsnet dot com and got not recognised Confused

StephanieBeacham · 26/08/2015 10:04

I expect it's been noted but the latest on twitter on his feed has a screenshot of someone's page. Not sure what it's getting at. Hope person is aware and taking precautions.

BlueMoonRising · 26/08/2015 10:07

Gymbunny, https is only on the login page.

AugustDay · 26/08/2015 10:08

unlucky83 do you use any apps that have access to your address book?

Eg whatapp.

Lweji · 26/08/2015 10:11

https.www.mumsnet dot com

If that's what you typed, I'm not surprised.
Try www.mumsnet.com

What page?

StEdmundsPippins · 26/08/2015 10:11

Simurgh thankyou. I didn't have any info on my profile page, so nothing could be gained from that. I use completely different usernames/passwords for everything, but have changed all of those now too.

Lweji · 26/08/2015 10:14

Damn

It should be https then : then // then the www etc

Hi Gym,

Apologies for this.
Have you mailed us?
If so, I will search now. We are still ploughing through, apologies for the delay.

stripytees · 26/08/2015 10:25

Is there a problem with the Android app? When I try to load it I get this error message.

Ha ha! Finally back in! Anyone else had trouble changing passwords even when using the specific criteria stipulated in MNHQ e-mails.

The last one said that it had failed (received an 'Oops Message' but all seems well.

Flowers to MNHQ (until we get a emoji Grin

I've just found out that the janitor for the business I rent a room from for my work is called Jeff.

Should I be suspicious? Isn't it often the janitor? Also - just as I type this he has walked past me. Letting me know that he knows what I'm up to, perhaps?

Kryten2X4B523P · 26/08/2015 11:05

Is he a mild mannered janitor?

Simurgh · 26/08/2015 11:08

Please let him not be a mild mannered janitor!

VelmaD · 26/08/2015 11:12

Rebecca, reposting from last night - I think some posts are being missed due to the chat nature of the thread maybe

I have a lot of sent messages and am struggling to delete them, I'm only on a phone. Inbox ones went fine.

Olivia, No one answered previous question (just prior to ddos yesterday so understandable) but there seems to be no select all and delete option in the Sent items of Pms?

GrandadGrumps · 26/08/2015 11:14

Is he a mild mannered janitor?

Could be!

unlucky83 · 26/08/2015 11:22

August - no - don't use anything like that -no 'chat apps' etc.
I do have FB (rarely use) but it is linked to the 'old email' address...and neither of those people are associated with me on FB.
(My contacts are in an email account that I only give to friends and even then rarely - most of them are forwarded through the old email account -which could explain it - if it wasn't for the fact that one of them I haven't been in touch with for 15 years...unless that email provider is 'remembering' that ..so pre-filtering is allowing it through to spam - which I think is equally freaky!)
