Over 50's

Hi Ladies

Could we have an "over 50's" category?

I am seriously becoming more and more shocked and upset with AIBU/Chat. The amount of "scoffing" and nastiness on mumsnet is very unpleasant.

Bloody great idea.

I can be all argumentative and robust in normal MN with my hard hitting, swearing persona Hmm

Then pop over here for all things fluffy and nice with my glass of sherry - one glass obvs.

Win, win for me!

Marshy · 15/02/2015 14:41

Afternoon crumblies! yes I did see that used for real on a thread recently

How is everyone today? Being naice to each other I hope.

I've just come back from my spin armchair keep fit class. There were 4 men in a class of 20. Guess who took the 4 spaces in the front row......I'm getting there early next week to shake things up a bit.

Can I go in the grumpy corner please? I will need tea as well as gin though.

LikeIcan · 15/02/2015 14:46

Bitter old hags corner please

thornrose · 15/02/2015 14:49

"Hi Ladies" there's your first mistake right there! Grin

PacificDogwood · 15/02/2015 15:00

"Home For The Bewildered" would cover so many, many eventualities Grin

I'm glad to see MNHQ is treating this thread with the seriousness it deserves.

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 15/02/2015 15:02

Can't we have a nice cupboard WITH swearing?

I love swearing, me. But I don't like people (normally without swears, it has to be said) kicking posters repeatedly

Can't we just have a Really Fucking Kind Cunts Cupboard?

Sparklingbrook · 15/02/2015 15:03

There will be no effing and jeffing in my naice cupboard. Angry

PacificDogwood · 15/02/2015 15:06

IMO there is wearing for fucking emphasis and there is swearing AT people - the former I can have reluctant admiration for; the latter is totally and utterly unacceptable.

I would not swear in Sparkling's Nice Cupboard because it would upset her

ErrolTheDragon · 15/02/2015 15:10

Muddah has it about right.

We should have Brew and Wine and Cake readily available but please no smoking in the cupboard. Or did you mean the other sort of fags? - well obviously they're as welcome as anyone.

Bowlersarm · 15/02/2015 15:10

Yes Pacific, quite right. Our family rules with our teens. What's good for them is good for MN.

Sparklingbrook · 15/02/2015 15:14

No smoking in my naice cupboard. Yankee Candle Clean Cotton candles are alight.

usualsuspect333 · 15/02/2015 15:21

I will have my own smoking shelter. I will retreat there when it all gets a bit much and I need a fag.

Pagwatch · 15/02/2015 15:23

Where do we drink?

KneesOfTheBee · 15/02/2015 15:26

I'm sure we could incorporate a kind of smoking hatch where you could pop your head out for a fag without having to step out of your big slipper usual Grin

usualsuspect333 · 15/02/2015 15:47

That'a a good plan, Knees. I wouldn't want to have to shuffle outside in my big slipper. I might have a fall

Sparklingbrook · 15/02/2015 15:49

You can have a drink in my cupboard. But don't spill any on my soft furnishings.

Pagwatch · 15/02/2015 15:51

I never spill drink.

Sparklingbrook · 15/02/2015 15:52

Grin Pagwatch. Then you are free to enter my cupboard.

Pagwatch · 15/02/2015 15:59

Thank you

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/02/2015 16:02

Pacific, I only ever swear for emphasis. Never at people. Especially not when I'm driving, oh no.

Pag could you mix up a jug of your famous caipirinhahahahahas? Smile

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/02/2015 16:04

I'm only 44 though.

magimedi · 15/02/2015 16:10

Can we vape in the cupboard, please?

And I would just lurrrrve one of Pag's famous cocktails.
