I am seriously becoming more and more shocked and upset with AIBU/Chat. The amount of "scoffing" and nastiness on mumsnet is very unpleasant.

My mother was a punk and she drinks vodka, white wine and cider. And Holsten Pils, but I can't remember what type of alcohol that is.

OP just hide AIBU (although I haven't figured out how to hide full topics yet) somethings obviously upset you but just click off and look at something else. It's the beauty of online playtime.

Holsten Pils is quite high octane lager, Queen. I used to drink it until I became an ancient wimp!

This thread is very confusing - does the OP want an over-50s section to keep out the meanies or to contain them?

SAGA doesn't have a chat forum anymore.

They all got arsey and argumentative (whilst not being allowed to swear ever).

I am well over 50, please can I stay. I got told off on Gransnet for lowering the tone a few weeks ago.

Do you have to be a Grandparent to go over to Gransnet ?
What if you hit 80 and are not a grandparent?
Or what if you become a Granny at 36 ?
Is it something to do with purple rinses and twinsets, or are you just allowed in if you can prove you are one of those vile, all-taking baby boomers?
