SP's thread was trolling?

I'm obviously incredibly relieved. But massively disturbed. How did that happen? Is SP ok?

OP posts:

I think i have seen this persons threads before - in a way i felt sorry for them, but this is just horrible

Rowan - surely this has sinister and threatening undertones and should actually be a police matter? If this had been me i would have been in a real state.

Redrosesarethebest · 24/02/2014 18:37

There are just no words Sad
Glad to hear that both SP and her son are both ok.
Feel very sick that some sick idiot could do that.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 24/02/2014 18:37

How ghastly. A sickening new twist to bereavement trolling.

SP if you read this I am SO GLAD that the Tude is ok.

GoldenGytha · 24/02/2014 18:38

LEM

Can you PM me the name please?

My troll radar is rubbish, and I have no idea who this could be.

Lottiedoubtie · 24/02/2014 18:40

I agree, I'm not bothered about a name and shame or anything public on the site (presumably if they pop up again you'd just delete them again anyway) but it'd be nice to think that such a sick troll would at least get a visit from the police.

Mama1980 · 24/02/2014 18:42

So so relieved it wasn't true.
By far the worst thing I have ever read on here though, truly despicable! Angry

Northernlurker · 24/02/2014 18:43

I agree this should be forwarded to the police for their attention - in the same way an anonymous letter is.

LEMmingaround · 24/02/2014 18:43

Golden, i dont remember the name, just that there was a thread in bereavement that was a troll thread and deleted.

LEMmingaround · 24/02/2014 18:44

I seem to remember it was by someone who said that their baby was left on the sofa and died after she rolled off :(

GoldenGytha · 24/02/2014 18:44

I also agree that the police should be informed about this,

It's just such horrible thing to do.

Tbh this is a new one on us and we can't say right now whether/what further steps we might take.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/02/2014 18:45

I'm so glad it was a troll.

I guess a troll has more impact if it looks like they are a well known poster.

Mogz · 24/02/2014 18:46

I was so relieved when the thread deleted message popped up as I tried to post, I must admit I shed a few tears thinking it was true. You've got to be seriously mentally ill to think that a 'prank' like that is in any way acceptable.

Brightermornings · 24/02/2014 18:47

So relieved it wasn't true.

Some people are just evil.

IamInvisible · 24/02/2014 18:48

I think this is the worst thing I have heard in all the time I have been on MN. It is such a vile, spiteful thing to do.

I hope SP is ok, I'd be in a real state, too.

ChallyCreaks · 24/02/2014 18:48

I'm so relieved that SP and the 'tude are fine. I am a long time lurker and was so shocked to read it and even more shocked to read it was a troll. SP must be fumming!

I'm so relieved too. I felt sick when I first read the op.

Surely something can be done? This goes beyond the normal trolling. Just awful. I hope that SP is ok.

Stopmithering · 24/02/2014 18:49

Didn't see the thread at all but if this is the 5th or 6th time this "troll" has tried to start bereavement threads, he / she probably needs some help.

AntoinetteCosway · 24/02/2014 18:50

There was an awful thread a little while ago about a baby that rolled off a sofa and died. It was pulled quite quickly if I recall correctly. I'd imagine this was the same person.

AuroraRoared · 24/02/2014 18:50

Oh, I'm glad everything is ok.

I just can't understand the mentality behind trolling about something like that.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 24/02/2014 18:50

Dear god, im glad i missed this. I hope something that they did was illegal so the police can get involved, although not seeing the thread i have no idea what they wrote.

Sp, if you are around Flowers i am so sorry that this has happened to you.

Northernlurker · 24/02/2014 18:50

Any help that's needed cannot be provided by this site nor by it's users.

bootsycollins · 24/02/2014 18:52

I'm so glad that SP and the 'Tude are ok, that thread was a terrible shock.

CuriosityCola · 24/02/2014 18:52

Antoinette, was that thread a troll too? It was really upsetting to read. People in bereavement have enough to deal with without their threads being questioned. It is a terrible place to troll.
