How long should a thread be left up after we are informed it is going to be deleted?

Because I don't think that four minutes is enough of a warning, I really don't Sad

You know it will just mean threads about threads, because people who don't press F5 every minute see what looks like a totally valid question getting wiped out.

If we are going to invoke the Olympic Spirit, may I politely suggest one that leans towards London rather than Beijing?

I wasnt even half way through that last one Hmm

ScarletSmellyFeet · 30/07/2012 21:43

In answer to your title, it should be left long enough for me to read the whole bloody thing without having to remember to open in a second tab, find my glasses and revisiting the spread sheet.

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 30/07/2012 21:44

I lost the end.

ElephantsCanRemember · 30/07/2012 21:44

They aren't normally deleted that quickly, are they? I thought they were left up for a while to ensure posters have a chance to read it and therefore don't need to start a "what happened to..." thread.

Olympia2012 · 30/07/2012 21:45

What happened?

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:46

I've got to delete my app now and reload as its crashed it. Rather fucking annoying...

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 30/07/2012 21:47

Four minutes was the warning we'd get of nuclear attack in the Cold War. If it was good enough for that...

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:47

Btw I'm in browser setting with tit by proxy writing on the sodding iPad so will soon need more whiskey and tramadol to sooth my headache

24HourPARDyPerson · 30/07/2012 21:49

one thing I did learn on the last thread is that Tramadol is good stuff.
hitherto unfamiliar with the product

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:51

I learnt about boiled piss

ScarletSmellyFeet · 30/07/2012 21:51

Tramadol is fantastic as long as you don't mind not remembering half the threads you have posted on the night before.

You could become a sock puppet and not even realise it...........

ObiWan · 30/07/2012 21:51

Someone was being disingenuous.

But some lone soul thought there was bullying afoot.

Stranded is not Stealth. Tramadol and whiskey are good.

Northern rocks, and is a cool dude. Not in a banking kind of way.

ObiWan · 30/07/2012 21:53

Oh crap, I sound like Gabby.

I am so not his sock puppet! Eurgh.

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 30/07/2012 21:53

Is Tramadol available over the counter?

< curious >

usualsuspect · 30/07/2012 21:53

Am I the poor lone soul?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 30/07/2012 21:54

This is where locking the thread would be a good idea. Everyone can see what has gone on and it avoids all the 'why was that deleted' threads.

MrsWembley · 30/07/2012 21:54

I'm in browser setting with tit by proxy

WTF? Mama

MrsWembley · 30/07/2012 21:55

And thank fuck I'm on the laptop now as I've already fucked up my iphone with the first one being deleted.

NOT HAPPY, MNHQ. Angry

DifferentFutureAhead · 30/07/2012 21:56

tit by proxy - what a great typo!

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:56

Grin with titchy writing but I like tit by proxy better! Lol thanks auto correct apple

ObiWan · 30/07/2012 21:57

Nooo, sorry Usual!

I guess there might have been a pair of souls. Or soles.

I think I missed you in the final rush.

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:57

Switching to iPhone while I reload app on here

Olympia2012 · 30/07/2012 21:57

Was this banning from a thread ages ago?

Mamamaiasaura · 30/07/2012 21:57

Poledra · 30/07/2012 21:58
