NC for this but I've been a swinger. While married with husband and alone when single.

Great social side, I've made and kept many friends from that scene.

Clubs are exactly as described by Op, I always describe them as wipe-clean

I had enormous fun, I'd do it again for sure. My partner was in that scene for years before we met but we're yet to embark together.

I'd not describe it as remotely vanilla tho!

I always find it funny when I hear about swingers clubs, and about the people who need to go to them. especially the group rooms, with all sorts of odd bods doing their stuff in the same room., as in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and all the noises they must make.. And you could come across one of your next door neighbours there too !

Probably the most boring question ever but what sort of building is this in? Is it a permanent swingers club that opens on certain nights or another building that’s rented occasionally. Someone mentioned a swanky flat but the description of “wipe clean” and glory holes sounds like a permanent fixture.

I went to one in Maidstone years ago. I went with a FWB whom I'd fallen for and wanted to show that I was really cool and up for anything.

It was run by an extremely respectable and well dressed woman in her fifties, who gave us a tour of the various rooms. Most of the women were very overweight and sounded as if they were trying to emulate a porn film. However, at least they were enjoying themselves .... I found it pretty excruciating, I had sex with my FWB with an audience but kept my eyes closed, didn't repeat the experience and berated myself for going through something I knew I wouldn't like. That is not knocking it - I have a couple of good friends who used to be into it regularly, and good for them.

I signed up to Killing Kittens around the same time, and did once attend an erotic reading that was women only. I didn't attend one of the parties, although have friends who did and they sounded a bit of a mix from glamorous and wild to seedy, depending on perception I guess.

OP, you mention you only go with a FWB or someone you already know - what is the attraction of going to the club then, could you not just meet your friend at home if you're already going together?

Is it usual for people to be watched by others, or are some rooms private?

Curiously enough the only people I know to have frequented swingers' clubs (I often consider it but haven't) are ladies who went on to become professional escorts. This was on the - to me, anyhow - sensible basis that "I'm doing it for fun, I might as well do it for money."

OP, I think something similar has been already asked, but I wanted to be precise: why do you go? If I'm reading correctly, you're not having sex with strangers you've just met and fancied, you're not watching others having sex, and you're not being watched. Is that right? (This is a genuine question. If I had ever managed to gather enough courage and libido to go to a sex club when I was younger it would have been for those three things).

How often do you go?

I'm in West Coast Scotland, can only imagine how seedy where ever it is they go. Think it was parties as oppose to clubs judging by the texts I saw .
