SET Sutton , Wilson and,Wallington schools

Does anyone know when will the result of SET that took place on 17th Sep 2024 will be out ? Roughly how many students are called back for the second stage test ?

Hope so! I was told it wild be Friday at the latest for the boys results… I expect it’ll be a Friday before we see anything

Sutton email just came through, awaiting other schools.

1249 candidates sat the second stage test and 918 met the required standard for Sutton Grammar School.

We just got the result for the boys. Wallington Boys and Sutton Grammar School. Waiting for Wilson's.

I only received email from SGS. None from Wilson's or Wallington. Are the emails still due to come or does that mean DS did not get through?

I think each school will email separately. Did you boys participate in music or sports aptitude too?

Our DD has qualified for Nonsuch and Wallington High School for Girls but we are outside catchment. No score has been provided. It's a difficult choice without the scores.

We are in catchment, still difficult as no idea where she is ranked! Now to wait again until March...

I’ve had the email from Sutton Grammar school. Unfortunately he didn’t pass. Can someone let me know the results mean please? What score are they out of? (Not a %) He’s not been tutored so we went into the exams blind.

60% of his SET English standardised score of 116.53,

60% of his SET Maths standardised score of 53.93,

90% of his Second Stage English standardised score of 88.63,

90% of his Second Stage Maths standardised score of 85.27,

Got emails from Wilson's and Wallington County as well. DS cleared all 3

Yes, we still waiting. Although he was 7 points behind for SGH :(

Did anyone know the pass score for each school ?

I really wish they gave us the scores! Even passing all 3 and an aptitude now literally means nothing. My DC passed all grammars we sat but none the wiser.

Wallington boys said something about 177. It all feels like marketing emails. They simply want the best kids to apply, even if it is a wasted application for that boy or girl.

what is Strange is my son passed maths with flying colours for Wilson’s but failed for Sutton and WCGS. And failed English for Wilson’s but passed again with flying colours for Sutton and WCGS. I’m so confused

I think each school may set different pass marks for English, Math and the Total mark, which means you have to pass all of these three in order to qualified to pass 2nd around exam for each school. I heard every year, there are some children passed Math and the total marks, but not English (or passed English but not Math), which cause them to fail to pass the 2nd round exam. Hopefully it helps.

Now I’m wondering anyone knows the numbers for Nonsuch and Wallington Girls please?
