Brit School KS4 2024

Hi all,

I thought I'd start a thread for KS4 applications for Brit School as my daughter has her workshop and interview this week and I know we will both be anxiously waiting to here afterwards!

She's applying for Film and Media production strand as is really passionate about working within the film industry..

We have no idea what to expect at the workshop and interview at all!

Looking forward to the weekend - at least we don't have to check emails! Lol! Brit is really close to us and just perfect for my DD but keep trying to manage her hopes and dreams 😬

Feel like im going crazy checking emails every 5mins! Why is IDD taking so long!?

Also does anyone know how offers work ? Is it yes, no and reserve list or all no's automatically go on the reserve list? X

Ahh ok, and not had a reply yet?

I emailed on this and was told the reserve list is essentially a Yes but waiting on a place to be available. ie someone doesn’t take their offer, or goes to the school and it isn’t for them. 🤞🏽fingers crossed, for us, someone has had offers elsewhere and rejects their place 😂🤞🏽

@Mummy0fFour I’m with you hun, my nerves are all over the place it’s been two weeks today & still no update 😫 I suppose no news is good news right?

Have you checked to see whether it has changed from pending on the application page? I still can’t bring myself to do it 🫣

My DD got the email yesterday that she has been accepted onto Theatre strand. She has wanted to go to Brit School since she was about 8 and we live in the area so she is beyond excited. She's passionate about theatre but has never been in a "real" production - just school and Stagecoach type affairs, so I had not idea how much of a chance she really stood. It feels a bit like she's been accepted to Hogwarts!

I am glad to find this. DD audition on 23/02/24 Musical theatre. Two of her friends from same school got rejection emails this week. Not sure what is happening just keeping my fingers crossed.

Amazing congratulations!! My daughter described it as the same actually! For these kids it’s the dream like Hogwarts is for magicians!

Hi all, Congratulations to all those who have been accepted and those on reserve list.

We also found out our DD is on the reserve list for Dance. We are all so proud of her, this is such an achievement. We have everything crossed that a place becomes available now.

We too were told that this was essentially a yes, but waiting on a place to become available.

The checking of emails doesn't stop here :)

@Skysti yes I checked yesterday. It just said 'pending'. It took me hours to build up the courage to look 😂 pretty pathetic 😔
