Thanks @Cismyfatarse

Cismyfatarse · 04/02/2021 21:47

I am not sure if anyone else is going to wander over here.

I have crisps. And tea.

Parking my bahookey for the morning.

anon444877 · 04/02/2021 21:49

Think we've run out of crisps, the snack pace is frantic with the kids at home.

jabbathebutt · 04/02/2021 21:52

placemarking

@shouldistop you mentioned good uptake. I fear once we move down the age groups, the younger age groups might be more resistant to getting it done. They may see the older folk as more likely to die, and forget that they themselves can still get pretty ill even if they don't die. Time will tell what happens but yes to what @statisticallychallenged says - we could have masks for longer because of some fannies who won't take the vac.

WaxOnFeckOff · 04/02/2021 21:53

Just marking space...is it safe? 👀😬

WouldBeGood · 04/02/2021 21:57

@WaxOnFeckOff think so 😃

WouldBeGood · 04/02/2021 21:58

I think young people will definitely take the vaccine

dancemom · 04/02/2021 22:01

These Fred's move quickly

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/02/2021 22:05

A couple of weeks ago they were saying that margarine covid would need 80% of the population to have the vaccination - and that was the more effective pfizzer one - to stop it. It's only licenced for 81% of the pop.

Now that might have changed as they are constantly debating how spready it really is, but the point is you do need very high uptake to be able to return to normal life. Especially when it's not approved for kids

jabbathebutt · 04/02/2021 22:05

my 37yo BIL is always spouting stupid conspiracy theories. Would not surprise me if he refused the vaccine.

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 04/02/2021 22:07

I'm here but my God, I need to stay off the snacks. I don't want another child but at least if I was pregnant it would explain the weight gain.

blowinahoolie · 04/02/2021 22:15

Same here getting eaten out of house and home!

Thanks for starting new Fred Cis🙌

titsbumfannythelot · 04/02/2021 22:18

Yabba dabba doo, thanks for the new Fred Cis.

Cismyfatarse · 04/02/2021 22:21

I had snacks.

I ate snacks.

No more snacks.

Can I blame Fred?

OP posts:
WaxOnFeckOff · 04/02/2021 22:22

Pringles and Fanta for me tonight. I'm so sophisticated.

titsbumfannythelot · 04/02/2021 22:29

Was it this guy, Cis?

New Fred. It nearly ended in tiers.
Scottishskifun · 04/02/2021 22:34

I think I'm going to turn into a crisp soon!

jabbathebutt · 04/02/2021 22:45

awful news from Crosshouse hospital. Their staff do such a great job. I had a life changing op there years ago. So grateful to them.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 04/02/2021 22:45

A civilised society should not force people to be medicated against their will & no doctor or nurse should be willing to vaccinate without consent. (Coerced consent is not consent)

If uptake is too low we need to educate people better.

[Although I sometimes skip flu vax (depending on that year’s data) I am pro vax & am a ex member of the pharmaceutical industry so not anti vax in any way.]

Thanks for the new thread & crisps cis!
I have plenty of sour cream to dip our crisps in Smile

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 04/02/2021 22:47

Oh I’ve just looked that up jabba what horrible news Sad

Cismyfatarse · 04/02/2021 23:07

I love sour cream. I may be out of crisps but I can scoop it out of the bowl with a (sanitized) hand.

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 04/02/2021 23:10

Sour cream I do like. Crispy pitta with it

Lockdownbear · 04/02/2021 23:40

Thanks for the new thread just signing in.

Awful news from Kilmarnock, hope that the staff are ok.

Vaccine, I don't think they will ever enforce it but I can certainly see not having it becoming a barrier to certain things and places, ie flights, music festivals, other tightly packed venues.

I just hope they get it roll out soon. I also spotted news of a vaccine for the variant to be available in autumn or something.
