i have namechanged for rather obvious reasons.

ok. i want to try anal sex. its something i have been curious about for years but never quite been confident enough to try it.
Im now with someone i trust completly and really want to try it.

i know the whole, make sure your turned on, relax and use lube. but what other hints and tips should i use?

what is the bets position to be in. doggy? misionary? something else?

and most importantly. is there some way in which i could prepare? by that i mean....(this will be way TMI) but i really dont fancy the idea of him coming out with poo on the end

Poo?? well its a risk you always take. A friend used to brag very loudly (yes really lol) "no theres never a trace of poo".. but I know she did have constipation and would only 'go' every few days with quite a solid motion so probably no trace of poo . TMI I know

I'm the opposite end of the scale so there has been a few 'incidents' but think if your going down this route with a partner thye have to accept this.... have some baby wipes handy

Well, some people like it, some don't. The reasons why it's good is that the whole anal-genital area is full of nerve-endings and stimulation of those is often pleasurable.
Lots of lube, take it slowly, start with either fingers (but NOT NOT NOT if he has long nails) or a small toy - but if you are going to use toys, use toys designed for bumlove ie with a wide base. Do not use a straightforward slim vibrator for this or it will be you giving the A&E dept at the local hospital something to talk about down the pub.
Poo on his knob is not very likely, but he should be using a condom anyway which should minimize any unpleasantness.
Oh, and if you have piles, it's not really a good idea: it really won't be much fun.

Well, I'm going to come out & say 'I like it like this' . Never had a problem with poo although you can get the sensation of desperately wanting one after but not actually doing anything if that makes sense. A few (a lot) of glasses of whatever makes you relaxed. Doggy style but low down as opposed to bum in air-oh and make sure he's up for it too. My OH has to be in the mood .

well as luck would have it Dd decided she would have a coughing fit in teh night so we didn't manage anything but a quickie this morning before work.

you do need to relax, so have a drink or two but obv dont get plastered

best position, according to friends is on back, with legs over shoulders, rather than doggy as meant to be easier

My only advice would be when its going in first time push out like you're doing a poo, this seems to make it easier to go in without discomfort!!

Also we bought some special lube from Ann Summers or somewhere but it didnt work very well and really stung. Most effective I've found is cooking oil and lots of it!!!!

poo is generally an inevitable part of anal sex lol unless u are extreamly clean.

I don't think poo is inevitable - I've never 'leaked' (yuk) or anything. I have no idea whether DH gets poo on his willy, he's too much of a gentleman to mention it if he does! There is no smell. If a sexual practice involved actual poo, I don't think many people would do it. I think SSA means there is always the possibility of poo, not that there is always poo...

My advice - relax and enjoy it!! I find the best position for me is if i lay face down and he does it doggy, but not with my bum in the air.
