Funny clichéd things that men put on their dating pages....

Or women of course but I'm a heterosexual female so wouldn't know!

I'll start:

  • 6ft4 because apparently that matters.
  • doesn't take life too seriously so if you can't handle sarcasm swipe left
  • photos of themselves holding fish
  • not sure what to write here

Finding dating pretty uninspiring at the moment as you can probably tell so thought I'd at least get a laugh out of it!

@ivebeenbumbled

Yes. I also saw one recently who was making an oral sex gesture in his photo.

Shock

Gross, just gross - these guys are obviously on the wrong site.....

Thought of another classic...

My profile says I'm 44, but I'm actually 57, I don't know how that happened and now it won't let me change it.

Oh really? 😒

😂** I see this quite a lot, same excuse for their name too 🤔

I've come across women's profiles who admit their age is a year or two out and they are unable to change it.

I tried OLD a few years back and my God, what an eye-opener that was. I quickly realised that my single (divorced) life was vastly preferable to spending time with the twats whose profiles I read on OLD sites.

No one's allowed to mention women angling the camera to hide half a dozen dress sizes.🤣🤣

You can mention what you like.

Dishonesty is just that, whoever is doing it.

Why be dishonest about your appearance on OLD? It's pointless as you'll be found out as soon as you go on a date.

"no crazy bitches" and any mentions of Netflix and chill...

@SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows

Reading this thread I can’t help but feel sorry for blokes on dating threads - is there actually anything left for them to say?! I met DH on Dateline but can’t remember what he put on his profile. When we met, he turned round on his barstool & just smiled warmly at me & I breathed a sigh of relief & thought “ he’s a normal bloke”! I’d met some out there guys on other dating sites before & despaired of ever meeting anyone decent. We will have been married 20 years in May 🍾🥂🎆🎇💥🎉🎈
Congratulations - are you doing anything nice for your anniversary?

I remember someone on MN once wrote that if a man wrote something like "Hi, I'm Dave. I've been single for about a year and am looking for a serious relationship. I am a software engineer and have been doing that for 15 years. I like my job a lot. At weekends, I like to meet up with friends and either go cycling or go to live music gigs" they'd do so much better than all these cliches. Even if Dave isn't someone's cup of tea, he is polite enough to give some idea of what sort of person he is.
