Unable to contact by boyfriend.

Ive been in a long distance relationship for 7 years.

Over the last few weeks I’ve found it incredibly difficult to contact my boyfriend. We arrange times to ring each other so when I try he hasn’t been picking up for hours and hours on end. He had never done this until a few weeks ago. We never text we always call each other a few times throughout the day and talk for a hour at night before I go to sleep.

I’ve been unable to contact my boyfriend since 7.30 last night when he said he was going to sleep. This is highly unlike him as he’s usually up till 2/3am. I tried to call him at 10pm and he answered but didn’t speak then the call disconnected. He said he would ring me when he woke up. I woke up at 7 expecting a missed call and nothing so I tried to call and it’s ringing and ringing no answer. So I had a look on Amazon and he was watching Amazon prime he had watched 4 episodes so I kept trying and no answer. From 10am his activity on Amazon prime has stopped and his phones still ringing and ringing. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I should be worried. I’m not close to his family but I’ve tired contacting his mum and she’s also not answering and I’ve messaged his sister who hasn’t responded but I expected that. Help me...

Yeah OP this is silly if you are that worried go to his house your there now. You were obviously worried enough to drive there.

MartiniDry · 12/01/2021 19:29

It's unbelievable that you should be sitting with your boyfriend's mother trying to locate him (during a pandemic lockdown) when he lives with his father.

BigBadVoodooHat · 12/01/2021 19:38

@Butterymuffin

Now you're there, you may as well go the whole hog and call at his house. The look on his face when he opens the front door will tell you what you need to know.
But he might be out cleaning windows. Or gardening. Or fixing stuff on the farm.
Scbchl · 12/01/2021 19:39

Drove to the town he lives in cause you are so worried but instead of going to where he lives you drove to his addict mum and are both sat calling him instead of just going over to check. Aye sounds legit.

kursaalflyer · 12/01/2021 19:53

So instead of allaying your fears and driving over to his house you have now involved his mum and freaked her out in the process? So much drama

MondeoFan · 12/01/2021 19:58

What does his mum think? Is she worried? Keep us updated Op

toocold54 · 12/01/2021 20:18

What time did he comment on your mutual friends Facebook?

I honestly wouldn’t worry too much as often there’s a simple explanation.

Crankley · 12/01/2021 20:20

WTF. It's completely illogical to drive for an hour to check on him except you don't and instead you go to his mother's and now you're both sat worried and trying to contact him.

Get off your backside and go to his house otherwise you may as well go back home.

Shaniac · 12/01/2021 20:22

None of this makes sense. Either go to his house or call the police for a welfare check.

ghostyslovesheets · 12/01/2021 20:37

baffled as to why you would drive all the way over there and not go to HIS house

Penny15 · 12/01/2021 20:41

Hi all, I couldn’t get to his house because he loves on a farm and there are big security gates at the end of the lane leading to there property, he is ok now he is struggling we’ve had a chat and I’m here for him thanks all

Glad to know he's ok OP, hopefully you have some peace of mind and can both get the support you need.

Clymene · 12/01/2021 20:57

Aw lovely Covid spreading. Fair warms the cockles

ThisTooShallBe · 12/01/2021 21:01

That’s great OP. I hope the deal now is that he’s there for you too 💐

toocold54 · 12/01/2021 21:06

That’s good OP so will he be staying with you from now on or staying at his dads?

villamariavintrapp · 12/01/2021 21:11

So he was just ignoring you then.

vanillandhoney · 12/01/2021 21:13

Don't ruin a nice heartwarming ending with the truth Grin
forumdonkey · 12/01/2021 21:26

Why aren't you absolutely pissed off with him? He was watching Amazon and on FB while you were desperately trying to phone him

BrimFullOfAsher · 12/01/2021 21:26

@vanillandhoney totally Disney-esque until 'The Truth' from @Villamariavintrapp 😂

Coriandersucks · 12/01/2021 21:36

I love a happy ending. Bet he’s glad of those security gates eh?!

Fuckoffyoueviltrolls · 12/01/2021 21:37

He isn't called Daniel is he? He worked for Disney Hmm op, I sadly don't think this is the last of this behaviour
