What is this on my DP's back? Done by another woman?

What is this? Anyone with any knowledge? Dentist etc? Suspect possibility of love bite. Left by other woman on purpose? He's prone to binge-drinking and falling over. How likely is it there's an innocent explanation?

Red = love bite
Black/brown = bruise

In my limited experience

Speaking as a bit of a strumpet back in my day, whenever I attempted giving someone a love bite on a flat surface (think stomach, funny as hell if you’re 17) it ends up in a line. You wouldn’t get a lips shape. It looks like a bruise anyway but as other people have said, if you don’t have trust and he’s a binge drinker is this worth investing anymore time or energy in?

I saw Heisenberg.

He is the danger. For biting alone.

I thought it was suction causing blood to be drawn temporarily up to the surface , not an actual bite and broken capillaries as such (like a bruise would be)

I’ve possibly been doing love bites all wrong all this time

A bruise.

The surrounding yellow definitely says bruise to me.

Don’t you trust him?

@FortunesFave

OneDrop how have you been doing them??

I do them with a kind of hard suck sort of thing.
I don’t use my teeth

Bit embarrassed that I’ve no idea what people really do

Looks more like a bruise to me. Love bites don't tend to be lip shaped - it's the suction in the middle that causes the mark.

But either way, if you're at the point of posting pictures of your partner's back online, I think your relationship is probably over.

The Internet has just hit a new low.
Its a bruise. Loads of people get them for loads of reasons

To me, hickey is a hickey and a "love" bite is a...bite!
I have met a couple of biters, so there must be plenty of other ones that actually use their teeth. I bloody hate it though!
One bit me on my inside thigh Confused that then turned into the biggest, blackest, effing bruise.
Another bit me on my shoulder and the bruise was like a ring with all the blue, green, yellow stages...

Too many variables... 🤷‍♂️

Would say love bite but that would mean you or your DH was 15.
Seriously - it's a bruise.

A love bite tends to make a circle where the lips part, not a mark where the lips were. It is caused by a sucking motion where the skin is brought into the mouth between the lips causing the capillaries to burst. So a love bite will look like a circle. Looks like he has fallen against something.

Does he know you've been taking secret photos of him and posting them on the internet Hmm

It looks like he has fallen into something.

But of a weird place for a love bite anyway, surely?

It looks like the shape of Casper the ghost, or a cat! That's not a love-bite but a bruise or a patch that's been pulled off.

@WillSantaBeComingToTown

Any chance he has covid?

I had 14 random bruises on my front alone (couldnt see my back) ranging from nail size to 10+ cms. Got them before I realised I had covid and they were really yellow by the end. Some of them were stringy bruises like that one rather than dense

Have you had your bloods checked? Your platelets need checking if your bruising like that.

Definitely a hickey... or a bruise

I have had a LOT of similar bruises on me (and it is a bruise). Unfortunately, none of them formed in passion.
