You are being so brave. Make sure you take time out for yourself doing something you enjoy. Flowers

NettleTea · 29/11/2019 19:03

well done, so so brave
The court case would not be brought unless CPS thought they could convict - their evidence must be pretty watertight.
You can congratulate yourself for getting through the day, and for knowing that what happens now will stop him EVER being able to do this to another woman or children.
Plus child access likely to be blocked due to a prosecution

Jiggles101 · 29/11/2019 19:10

CPS don't make decisions about prosecutions so quickly, must be a different hearing in 3 months? Criminal trials dates are currently being set for next August/September, and that's after the months it takes to get a CPS decision.

drspouse · 29/11/2019 19:12

I thought this was to get the non molestation order?

Cherrysoup · 29/11/2019 19:25

I think you are doing really well! I know this seems incredibly difficult-it is! But you will survive. Your ds sounds amazing too.

I'm confused. Does anyone with legal knowledge understand what's happening?
I'm not putting it on to OP to explain because she must be knackered and fraught.

ReanimatedSGB · 29/11/2019 20:07

Best wishes to you, OP. I am hugely impressed with your courage and your good sense. And also impressed, once again, with the collective might of MN for helping another woman out of an unbearable situation and being there for her (and any others in similar set-ups who can be inspired to reach out and escape.)

Catmaiden · 29/11/2019 20:12

Huge Hugs xxx
You are doing SO well!

Northernsoullover · 29/11/2019 20:18

Oh wow. I've just read both of your threads. Its going to be really tough over the coming months but you have your freedom and freedom for your boy. I'm currently supporting a friend through a similar process and grueling as it is life is still better for her.

Smelborp · 29/11/2019 20:24

You are doing so well. Take one day at a time and enjoy spending time with your DS. Flowers

MrHaroldFry · 29/11/2019 20:33

OP. I can just imagine you are drained right now. You have been running on the treadmill of this process, doing what you have been advised and now...nothing fir three months! It is during this time that many women start to have counselling and to reframe their reality and start to make short term plans.
It won't be simple but it will be YOUR decision on how you proceed.
Many women have found the Survivors Handbook from WA very helpful.

Please know there is a path forward for you, even if you feel stuck right now. Your sons will have a life of love and freedom because of you.

We are all behind you and here when and if you need guidance or a hand hold.

Hollywhiskey · 29/11/2019 20:39

Wow OP you are doing brilliantly protecting your boys. Good for you getting out. Here's another complete stranger who is proud of you c

Lazyafternoons · 29/11/2019 21:23

I am very new on here and I am absolutely amazed at how strong you are. We all like to think we can manage anything, but in reality when it happens it’s not as straight forward. You have already proven how strong you are and I have every confidence that you can and will carry on until the very end to make sure you and your ds.’s are safe. What an inspirational Mother you are, your ds’s will grow up to appreciate what a strong women is and learn from you.

strawberry2017 · 29/11/2019 21:30

Wow. Having read every update you have made I am in awe of how strong you are. You are doing such an amazing thing giving you and your DS's a chance at a happy safe life.
Be proud of yourself OP, what you have done is ridiculously hard. Just keep looking forward and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. It's getting brighter OP! X

justilou1 · 29/11/2019 21:51

Does he know that you have discovered his other family and name changes? Did this come out in court? Please don’t get too stressed. The early court date might be because they have so much evidence against him they're going to nail him to the floor.

stophuggingme · 29/11/2019 22:12

I’m so pleased for you though I know today has been hard on you.
A court doesn’t order a non mol for a year for nothing.

I would be very surprised if he gets anything before the trial in terms of contact though it may be at a contact centre of indirect.

Try and rest and relax now. These periods of calm are vital for you, your son and the baby .

You are doing so well. I know you will feel broken hearted as it is really is the beginning of the end now but it’s a.somthe beginning of your new life and a happy future free from this awful controlling abuse.

Sending you love and strength and some sleep and positive vibes ♥️

WhatTiggersDoBest · 29/11/2019 23:54

So glad they gave you the non molestation order. Hope you can put it out of your mind over the weekend and get back to your DS.

ItsAlmostXmas · 30/11/2019 00:26

You will have been working on stress and Adrenalin so it's completely normal now that you feel mentally and physically exhausted.

Rest up over the next few days, lots of DC cuddles, good food and hopefully quality sleep.

Sounds like right went really well, I also don't understand the court process entirely so I think it's means he can't have any contact for 3 months minimum but at the next hearing the subsequent 9 months will be decided.

Be so proud of what you have achieved in the short time since you left him! Imagine how much better the future will be.

RichPetunia · 30/11/2019 07:49

Hi OP, Wishing you a good day today xx

Mrsmummy90 · 30/11/2019 08:08
