Revenge body anyone?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 19/09/2018 17:24

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

Hi Pearl, I either go for a jog, fast walk or work on the cross-fit machine.
Lego- it is easy to brush over our achievements and not realise how good we are doing. Glad I could help!

legocardsagain · 11/10/2018 16:50

Thanks ladies. 😘 I have a cheapo cross trainer in the garage and a gym ball in the lounge. I get up and hide in the garage in the morning, then do ball work in the evening.
I've also been take pictures of myself every 2 weeks. I'm going to watch the fat melt away!!

I've bought some Hagen Daz mini pots of ice cream. About 250cals per tub. I'm going to allow myself one on Monday! It's a 4 pack, here's hoping I can be disciplined enough to space them out. Wink

GlitterRollerSkate · 11/10/2018 17:46

Hello can I join? I'm fat and lazy and am trying to change that! Have had a diet overhaul but not an exercise one yet!

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 11/10/2018 21:18

Hi how’s everyone doing?

Welcome Glitter diet overhaul is fab - I always find that harder than the exercise because at least with exercise once you get into a routine you get an instant high with it.

Exercise has been good so far this week. Diet control been better also - practising some serious self control and mindfulness before reaching for snacks at work plus prepare myself for potential ‘snacky’ situations such as being at a friends house - I decide beforehand what I will and won’t eat. Long may it last 🤞🏼

legocardsagain · 11/10/2018 21:46

Oh fuck it!

DH is about to stick a teacake in the toaster for me. I feel ravenous tonight!

legocardsagain · 13/10/2018 09:48

I've done my fasted cardio again today. I've been increasing the duration of my workouts and I'm now happy with that. I'm now using the crappy dial to increase the difficulty for some of the time.

I'm not happy with my food. I'm ok in the daytime and I'm having a light meal, but then need a snack at bedtime. This is where the snack attack occurs. Confused I need an alternative because 4 jam sandwiches is self sabotage territory. Blush

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Tell me what you recommend for a bedtime snack. ( I take medication that needs to be with food and so I cannot skip a snack completely)

Alicatz66 · 13/10/2018 12:12

legocardsagain. I'm trying to low carb but I find it hard to sleep sometimes due to this .. I have a couple of seeded oatcakes and peanut butter before bed

legocardsagain · 13/10/2018 15:59

@Alicatz66 Envy

legocardsagain · 14/10/2018 09:50

Did my fasted cardio again this morning. 7am! I'm finally seeing a result on the scales too. I was so close to eating a tub of ice cream yesterday, really glad I didn't!

I've lost 4kgs now and I can see the difference. My fat belly no longer looks like a well rounded pregnant belly. It's flatter now. Grin

Fairydust26 · 14/10/2018 18:52

legocardsagain well done that’s great!😊 I’ve well a truly fallen off the wagon but I’m ready to jump back on and start again with my fasted cardio in the morning!.

legocardsagain · 14/10/2018 19:07

Great stuff @Fairydust26 ! I now have to compete with DH for workout time. Grrr... I might cook bacon in the morning to derail him! Grin

Hello everyone! Well done on your positive-s this last week; I’ve been excited to update you all.

I did a huge healthy food shop on Thursday and bought a reusable water bottle, so I’ve been drinking lots of water & eating good foods. I also bought some of those exfoliating gloves and a dry oil spray, which I use after the bath/shower, and I actually feel good from within! (I absolutely know how cheesy that sounds, but it’s true!) I think it’s the sluggish circulation being moved?

I also bought a packet of hair dye which I’ll put on this evening. Although, this is because I have an important meeting at work in the morning and it’s a matter of wanting to look half presentable and not dragged through the hedge with roots down to my ears!

Other positives - I went to Church today, I haven’t been for so long as I’ve been busy completing my Masters. They always have lovely cakes on offer and today I resisted, but because I hadn’t picked on any nibbles I also enjoyed my dinner so much more this evening.

Negative-s; when I picked my youngest up from After School Club on Friday it was late and we were drenched walking home in the rain. I made an error and walked straight to the chip shop and ordered fish and chips for myself 🤦‍♀️ It was tasty but wow - I had really bad stomach pains afterwards. My fault for being greedy.

Exercise this weekend : lots of walking and lots of housework!

Goals for this week : drink more water and less sugary coffee, move more and fill most of my plates with fruit or veg.

Hope you all have a lovely week

legocardsagain · 15/10/2018 12:30

@PearlandRubies194 that's fantastic progress, you're doing really well!

My physio has started upping my exercises, I'm building muscles everyone!! I lifted a1kg dumbbell ...in each hand! 🙌🙌
💪

Still finding the evening food hard, I'm happy eating salads during the day and really enjoy them. But when the PJ's are on...I'm snuggled up in bed with a box set... Toasted tea cake smothered in butter is sooo tempting! Or Jam on toast.

I need something the won't turn to fat straight away because I eat it and don't burn it. What foods are like that? Spinach?? Bluergh!

Steala · 15/10/2018 19:09

Hi all. My half marathon is out of the way so I'm properly on it now. It's silly that all that running didn't help weight loss, but I can only run long distances on loads and loads of carbs. I've been known to faint otherwise.

I did fasted cardio today and reduced carbs and upped protein. My main issue is I have very poor core strength and all my fat is on my tummy. I can't plank and crunches hurt my neck. I'm considering Latin dancing, which is meant to work all core muscles. I think it might be easier to isolate the right muscles too.

PearlandRubies194 · 15/10/2018 22:45

Well done you two on exercises today - I walked 3 miles from work today (only cos I didn’t have enough money in my purse for the bus!) but oh..such a lovely day, I actually enjoyed it. I’m actually really full tonight - I made a huge plate of snacks before I sat to watch telly: some ham, slice of avocado, jalapeños, peppers, pickles onions, tomatoes and some savoury rice. For pudding some fat free yoghurt and raspberries, banana and peanut butter. I have a huge appetite!

AllTheChocolateMice · 16/10/2018 17:40

I’m joining the gym tonight 😳

Mousella · 17/10/2018 07:38

Hi everyone! Great to see everyone doing so well 😊

I’ve had a tough past week, totally fell off the bandwagon at the weekend but started my cardio again yesterday morning and have done it again today.

@legocardsagain food is exactly my problem. Especially the evening snacks. It’s gone so cold now and all I want to do is eat...

legocardsagain · 17/10/2018 10:32

I've skipped fasted cardio this morning. Doh! I can't do it tomorrow because of work commitments. I'm going to procrastinate here for a while and then get in it. Promise. Grin

OohOohMrPeevly · 18/10/2018 10:23

Can I join back in again - been injured and away on holiday the last few weeks but raring to go again now. Hope everyone is doing ok.

malificent7 · 18/10/2018 12:24
