Revenge body anyone?

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

@CanaryWharf @Fairydust26 sugar cravings I address with a protein shake , phd strawberry is lovely but there are lots of other brands that also taste good xx

@Mai5x yes that is expensive , maybe try the home workouts then if you feel like you’re being consistent and it would be money used then join? Xx

@shggg245 have you asked anyone to watch your form when you squat? Maybe get someone to film your squat technique as you may have it slightly off ? If it’s not that then are loading it with too much weight ? Does lowering the weight ease the groin pain? Also are you stretching in your warm up? Xx

@FuckItPassMeTheWine just came across this thread absolutely love it!

Sorry if you have already been asked this but will the core workout help with tightening up excess skin?
I need to lose about a stone since having DS but from how big I got I have so much excess skin on my stomach and don't know how to get rid of it, any help would be really appreciated Grin

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 25/09/2018 19:27

@JustMe10 welcome to thread Smile, doing weights with cardio will definitely ensure you have a less amount of excess skin then if you were to just diet and do cardio. Xx

I bought some medjool dates today to eat instead of my usual chocolate fix. I've had two so far and it seems to have worked :)

Bosabosa · 25/09/2018 21:29

Hi all,
I did a fasted 20 min jog this morning so really pleased with that but haven’t done a workout.
Is the plan a 20 min cardio 5-6 days a week and then a targeted weights work out -but how often?Arms/legs/core at least once a week each or more???
Going to quickly do some squats pre bed!
Thanks again OP

Mai5x · 25/09/2018 22:53

Ah thanks for the at home core workout! I'll do this tomorrow morning when I wake up!

Monestasi · 26/09/2018 06:05

Good morning all.

@FuckItPassMeTheWine great idea for a positive uplifting thread.

I’m usually a gym bunny, but have lost a lot of motivation lately, as well as confidence..
Drawn out separation and divorce is taking its toll. So a much needed push to get me feeling physically better at least, is very welcome.

I also drink more than I should lately, so that needs work too.

Right then, I am off to gym once I do school run. May even do some squats!!

gimeallthecake · 26/09/2018 06:18

I'm struggling guys! I've been walking a lot and it's affected my milk supply (along with stress) need to learn how to cut back on food also

Mousella · 26/09/2018 07:10

Been lurking since this thread went up and am now on Day 4... just wanted to say thank you so much for starting this @FuckItPassMeTheWine.

I came out of a bad relationship at the start of the year and have had a period of dating which was fun to begin with, but now I’ve got in to a situation where I’ve fallen for someone who just isn’t that in to me and I need to shake myself out of it. This thread is really helping give me focus on myself, not him! And I feel great after the fasted cardio sessions! 😊

madcatladyforever · 26/09/2018 07:12

Yeah me, I'm old and fat but I'm working it. I'm going to be the best ever Grin

Mai5x · 26/09/2018 08:40

This thread actually motivates me so much haha.

I've done my 25 squats this morning and the at home ab work out, all three sets. Feeling a lot better this morning!x

Breezebutter · 26/09/2018 08:47

Hope I’m not too late to the party!Smile Just waiting for my healthy food shop to be delivered then going to aim for a 20k step walk today if the weather allows. Been almost 3 years since I had my DD and desperately need to shift 2 stone still. Lost 4 so far though! I was 8.5 before I got pregnant and around 15 stone after I gave birthSad

Bosabosa · 26/09/2018 17:07

Did another 20 min fasted cardio yippee this morning - no workouts though

Ooglies · 26/09/2018 17:12

I’ve got a bad cough and cold so not been able to do much.
Keep going everyone!

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 26/09/2018 17:28

@Applesandoranges1 dates are such a good idea! Xx
@Bosabosa exactly Smile the plan is aim for twenty mins fasted cardio and then do a weighted session in the afternoon or whenever you can fit it in to address arms / legs / core/ shoulders/ chest . I’ll be posting a shoulder workout later Smile xx
@Mai5x well done on the ab workout and the squats ! Grin xx
@Monestasi welcome to the thread lovely Smile 💛 xx
@Mousella aww I’m so glad you’re finding the thread useful ☺️ Xx
@madcatladyforever that’s the spirit! ☺️💛xx

@Breezebutter welcome to the thread 😬💛xx
@Ooglies hope your cold gets better soon! Xx

Just done my abs workout and completed my fasted cardio this morning , hope everyone has had a good day ! 😅xx

@gimeallthecake have you spoken to your doctor regarding your issues ? I’d hold off doing the fasted cardio and weights until you’ve spoken to him/her about it tbh lovely xx

Motivated by this thread I had a personal trainer come round and show me a work out I can do at home. I've also signed up to a weekly aerobics class.

Now I need to get to grips with my diet. I've been doing 16:8 fasting but I'm not making great choices during those 8 hours.
