Revenge body anyone?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 19/09/2018 17:24

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

Hey lego. I also did a massive cardio session today but also did some of Fuckits back exercises. Food is my major downfall as well. I love the gym but love food as well. I'm short and weight goes on quite quickly.. It's a constant battle isn't it...?!?!

Vivino · 01/10/2018 02:53

Thanks so much for posting all your workouts! They look great. Definitely going to give them a crack when I join a proper gym. I've always felt a bit shy in the past about using the weights area, it's tended to be full of very intense men lifting enormous bars, but a Beyonce playlist might give me the boost to get there!

At the moment I'm going to reformer pilates classes - I bought a trial with a studio that's very close to where I am as a new pal I met suggested it. To be honest the main motivation was spending more time with her, I've been getting a bit lonely here! Anyway, I have ten classes to do over a four-week period. I haven't felt much impact from the reformer, I don't know if I'm doing it right but in the past I've come away from pilates classes really feeling it all over my body so not sure there. The studio also runs other classes - boxing, barre, circuits etc - so I think I'll give them a go next.

hiSmilei would like to join! happily married so not that kind of revenge body...its more that everyone else doesn't think i will lose it lol. ok back story was always chubby growing up by the time i was 16 was pretty big (never checked weight) when i was 17 slowely started losing weight and the last few months before i turned 18 lost all my weight drasticly. i maintained my weight for a couple years but then slowely my weight creeped back up. by the time i got pregnant (age 21) had a good stone and a half to lose, i gained a stone and half during pregnancyAngry and here is the bummer...i was bigger then i had been in a long time...yet everyone kept saying "oh you only gained that much.. i was 100% sure you were gonna get huuuggee"Angry so basicly everyone who knows me thinks im always gonna get bigger and that im never actualy gonna lose that amount of weight again, ds is 1 now and have actualy lost a stone and half and gained it back on.so sick of being THAT girl anyway 2moz super hectic for me but starting tuesday everything unhealthy gotta go lol. my problem has always been portion control so gotta start with smaller healthier meals and doing cardio and go from there. have about 3 stone to loseSmile

Mousella · 01/10/2018 07:18

Morning everyone 🙋🏼‍♀️ Lego I feel similar today, this weekend was full of parties and party sandwiches and cake are my weaknesses. But I kept the cardio going in the mornings, now we are back on weekdays I’ll be doing my evening exercises again.

Everyone seems to be doing well, we can’t be perfect all the time, as long as we keep going hey 😊

Bosabosa · 01/10/2018 07:36

Morning everyone!
My goal has been to keep up with the fasted 20 min cardio 5 days a week and I managed that last week which I am so happy about! I had a break over weekend so back on it this morning.
I am not ready to tackle diet (which is more portion control rather than bad choices ) nor the weights work outs yet as from experience I know that when I take on too much at the start, I give it all up after a bit as is too much! It’s all about sustainability for me and if I can do 5x20 min a week for rest of my life, that would be a major achievement and a massive boost to my health.
Good luck all for this coming week and if you have fallen off the wagon, just climb back on!

AllTheChocolateMice · 01/10/2018 17:00

I’ve just ordered some resistance bands that will arrive Thursday so will start then.

Still doing fast dog walks

Having dating issues and had a really bad couple of days. Getting up in the morning and getting the exercise done is helping me get through this 💪 Reading everyone else’s posts is keeping me motivated 😊

legocardsagain · 02/10/2018 13:17

Hi all

I did my fasted cardio this morning, yay! I didn't do so well in food yesterday though. I had a super important project to complete, and once done DH and I went to Starbucks. I hade a large skinny latte, half a brownie and half a muffin!!

I don't think it will make too much difference in the grand scheme of things, so longs as the rest of my diet is healthy and I keep up my cardio. I'm at the WI tonight, there is always lovely cakes. Not sure I will be able to resist!! Grin

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 02/10/2018 20:05

@Vivino you’re so welcome ☺️ Hope you find them useful ! Xx
@lexie555 welcome to thread lovely Smile xx

Evening team! Sounds like everyone is getting their gym on! Just did 20 minute cardio and then a quick shoulder session as pushed for time today.

Fuckit - can you post some of your food diaries. It's so interesting. Look how many people you're motivating. It's fantastic ♥.

legocardsagain · 02/10/2018 22:05

@FuckItPassMeTheWine thank you, cardio is going great! I'm upping how long I'm doing for by a minute every 3 days as I'm building up my fitness. I'm v excited and motivated to do it. This fat is just gonna have to fuck off!!

Steala · 03/10/2018 10:15

Can I possibly join your inspirational thread? I love the sentiment of getting back to the very best you after a down patch. I want to stick two fingers up at depression and say that it is MY time now.

I exercise, but inconsistently. I have a half marathon coming up but usually prefer spin, body pump and occasional yoga classes. However much I exercise, though, I can't outrun my appalling diet, so that is what I need to concentrate on. I'm quite good at nutritional theory but find it hard to put it into practice, especially when comfort eating is the only thing that can get me to move.

I'd like to lose 2 stone and get strong but more importantly, I want to get the energy back that depression has stolen. I want a spring in my step and a glow to my skin. May I join you?

legocardsagain · 03/10/2018 21:11

@Steala waves hiya happy for you to join us. I'm just checking in to say I did my fasting cardio again today. Yay! I've updated my workout playlist and I'm ready to kick the shit out of this flabby body!

RooDaisy · 03/10/2018 21:42

Hey all, just found this thread & I've read about half. I love the motivation & support everyone is showing each other & am going to join in.
My weakness is chocolate after tea & wine at the weekend and a lack of motivation to exercise. I'm 5'5 & am around 11stone, I'm sure I need to be in a size 14 but i refuse to buy new clothes.
I'm not drinking now for 2 months & am going to use the lack of hangovers to motivate myself to meal prep & bloody exercise.
I want to feel good for my holiday at the beginning of Dec. I'll rtft tomorrow & let you all know how I'm doing in getting my ass into gear!

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 03/10/2018 21:50

Hi just seen this thread. Love the positive vibes here.

I’ve been on a long journey myself (metaphorically) and after many many physical, emotional and mental setbacks I am fitter and stronger than I have ever been. It has been really hard to get to this point but I am so much happier.

My problem is my diet - or I should say my ‘bingeing’. My overall diet plan is good - I e taken into account portion size, calories and food groups. But I have hit a low where I am gravitating towards eating chops/biscuits every day. I don’t know why I am doing it (stress I think) and I need to find a way to stop because I am finally on my way towards sexy and, but currently shooting myself in the foot! Any ideas and help would be great Smile

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 03/10/2018 21:52

Sorry for typos Blush - should be ‘chocs’ not chips! And ‘sexy abs’ not ‘sexy and’!

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 03/10/2018 22:13

Just read most of the thread through - what’s everyone doing for fasted cardio if you don’t have exercise machines at home?

Mousella · 04/10/2018 08:45

Morning all! I’ve had a tough first half of the week as I mentioned... too much alcohol, skipped a couple of exercise sessions and feeling a bit down. But I’m back on it now 💪

Illstart- if I have time I go for a 20 minute run. If it’s too cold and dark or I’m in a rush (this morning) then I’ll either do steps at the bottom of the stairs for 20 mins or literally just run around the downstairs of my house. It’s not very elegant but it gets your heart pumping and sweaty and if you stick tunes on then it goes fast enough ☺️

Hope everyone else is getting on ok 👍🏻

legocardsagain · 04/10/2018 12:13

Hi all

Just a check in to say I managed my fasted cardio again today! Whoop whoop!

I've been weighing myself in Kg's as it doesn't trigger my dieting and weight loss habits that are bad for me. Potential trigger for poor mental health on my part. I dared to convert to st lbs yesterday without feeling bad about myself. I've actually lost 8lbs in 12 days and I feel amazing.

I need to lose 3 1/2 stone. And I'm positive I can do this. I'd like to hit target by 1 Jan. will work out if that is achievable!

legocardsagain · 04/10/2018 12:50

That target works out as 4lbs per week. Confused I can do that some weeks, but not sure I could maintain that loss every week.

New target. Fasted cardio at least 5 times per week. What will be, will be.

finn1020 · 04/10/2018 12:58

Great thread, I’m watching. Want to lose a stone in 6 weeks and get much fitter so I can walk for a loooong way on the Great Wall in China, and since summers coming up where I live, be toned for cozzies again. 😬

DeadBod · 04/10/2018 13:11

I've been keeping up with the thread and it's great to see that the OP has motivated so many people.
I've been keeping a food diary by logging everything onto my fitbit. I've not been weighing stuff and I'm using generic foods, rather than inputting every item, but it's giving me an indication of where I've been going wrong with my diet and it's certainly highlighted how much I can easily overeat.
I bike to work a couple of days a week which is where I fit in my fasted cardio and I've always attended gym classes regularly.
I've resisted the scales so far. I don't need to lose weight but hopefully the bloated belly will disappear.

Mousella · 05/10/2018 06:51

Happy Friday everyone!

Just done my fasted cardio so feeling good. Ive only done one evening workout this week, and my diet hasn’t been great, but it’s still a good feeling to know I’m doing something. Hoping that over the weekend/next week I can get back on it.

I’m loving reading what everyone else is up to, it’s so motivating! Thanks everyone and have a good Friday 😊
