Revenge body anyone?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 19/09/2018 17:24

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

I'm feeling really motivated by this thread, thank you 😘.

I've improved my time doing cardio and I'm now up to 18 mins from 12 last week. Slow progress but I think it's all worthwhile. I can tell my giant belly has changed shape, and I haven't had hardly any periods where I've felt hungry and wanted to eat the bad so good stuff.

PurplemoonWitch · 26/09/2018 19:45

Can I join too? Lost a couple of stones on the good old heartbreak diet. Was going to the gym, doing well... but now I’ve lost all motivation, feeling sluggish, not eating crap but indulging in the Wine a bit too often. Which saps my enthusiasm for excersise. Need to get my mojo back and with it some self confidence.

SheisMammyof2 · 26/09/2018 19:54

Thanks for starting this thread. Can I join too? I lost three stone a few years ago using MFP and running, but I slipped a disc in my lower back six months ago and have put back on two stone! I'm trying to get back running slowly and doing reformer Pilates, but I really need to tackle my diet as I just can't exercise at the level I was before. Any tips on cardio I can do from home that doesn't impact the lower back?

Applesandoranges1 · 26/09/2018 20:22

I wasn't able to do fasted cardio today as I had an early start. I'm loosely doing the 16/8 plan (maybe more like 14/10 some days :)
I've had no sweet things today but did have some cheese Blush

Well done @legocardsagain I am the same as you, slowly building up with cardio and can see a change in tummy already.

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 26/09/2018 20:34

How are you getting on with it all @FuckItPassMeTheWine? X

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 26/09/2018 21:48

@Applesandoranges1 the exercise i don’t mind and look forward too it , for me , where I need to focus is keeping to the diet, I find this mentally taxing more, so i have to find lots of ways to keep me distracted and not reaching for the dominos app 😂. But since Monday , so far so good 😅 I’m watching a series called succession, tv is always a decent distraction from gorging Blush and thank you for asking ☺️ .

This thread is helping my accountability lots tbf , it’s reminding me that I have committed to something & seeing everyone else post with what they’re doing motivates me to ensure I don’t “fall off” (sounds a bit cheesy but it’s true ) xx

Meeee!!! I lost so much weight after my first baby with breastfeeding/general new mum stress but I'm starting to pile the weight back on now I'm back at work and I really don't want to!

Mousella · 27/09/2018 06:28

I really didn’t want to do my fasted cardio this morning 🙈 But kicked myself out of bed and did 20 mins jogging around downstairs. I didn’t feel like it was quite as effective as when I do steps on the bottom of the stairs or when I go for a proper run, but it definitely increased my heart rate and I got a bit of a sweat on, so it counts for something right? And I feel so much better for having done it!

@Applesandoranges1 the food side is what I am struggling with at the moment. Caught up on bake off last night with the kids and indulged in a few biscuits. None today!

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 27/09/2018 12:07

@Mousella well done on doing your fasted cardio ! Grin xx I managed to get into the gym early this morning and done twenty mins on the stair master 😅😅.

How’s everyone else getting on today? Xx

I’ve just come back from doing shoulders and it’s an effort to lift my phone 😂 I’ll be posting a current pic of me over the weekend so I can track my progress and also to show you guys how much “fluff” I’m carrying and how what I’m doing will over the course of two months show how hard work and consistency pays off 😬 xx

This week I have swum 500m twice (a big deal for me!) done Pilates and yoga and generally eaten well.
My jeans fit again! Result!

JustMe10 · 27/09/2018 21:23

@FuckItPassMeTheWine my legs are killing me and I've realised how unfit I am but definitely does feel good lol! Grin

Applesandoranges1 · 27/09/2018 21:25

I've done well (ish) with food choices and calories but I've not managed my exercise. Feeling a bit annoyed with myself but planning on an early start tomorrow to do fasted cardio. Well done to everyone else!!

Studentnurse1981 · 27/09/2018 21:27

Do it for yourself not for anyone else

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 27/09/2018 21:32

Crikey op you're an inspiration!

Loving your thread.

legocardsagain · 27/09/2018 21:37

I've managed to doing cardio every day this week, I'm so proud of myself. I've increased how long I can do the cross trainer for and....big news - I broke a sweat!!

I know that doesn't sound like big news, but for me it is. My disability leaves me in so much pain that I've been unable to exercise long enough or intense enough to actually sweat. Yay I sweated today!! Grin

JustMe10 · 27/09/2018 21:49

@legocardsagain that's great news! Well done! Grin

Applesandoranges1 · 27/09/2018 22:15

@legocardsagain that's great well done! How have you found it pain wise? Small steps to our big goal x

TastelesslyDone · 27/09/2018 23:09

10km Monday, 10km today. Not lost any weight but, y’know, it’s all progress.
