Revenge body anyone?

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

@legocardsagain that’s brilliant!

Fasted cardio done and I’m feeling great. I haven’t had time to do much in the evenings this week- just 20 mins or so of targeted exercises- but I feel like that’s better than nothing.

Have a great Friday everyone 😊

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 28/09/2018 08:51

@TheGonnagle that’s fab re: the swimming !and I love that the jeans fit again ☺️ Amazing work xx
@JustMe10 if you’re legs are aching it’s definately been a good work out. Your muscles ache when the the fibres have small-scale damage (microtrauma) to the muscle fibres. The body then builds the muscle back stronger so that it’s “prepared for next time” this is essentially how muscle develops and you get that toned look , so well done! 😬xx
@Applesandoranges1 morning lovely , you managed your fasted cardio today? Xx
@Dontfeellikeamillenial aww thank you so much and welcome to thread ☺️Xx

I'm now two weeks nearly after my operation. We've booked a break away in four weeks, can I lose near a stone? I can't exercise so it's all about the food and short walks. Help!!

legocardsagain · 28/09/2018 10:34

The pain is still there, and worse when I exercise. I've been taking pain meds 20mins before exercise so that I can get through it.

Today I managed a fasted exercise, I took half my meds with water, exercised, then took the other half with breakfast.

Is it ok to eat straight after fasted exercise? Or should we leave a bit for our bodies to keep burning fat reserves? How long for?Wink

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 28/09/2018 10:43

@legocardsagain glad you’re preserving with the cardio and defo ok to eat straight after. Smile well done xx
@gttia what op did you have? I think speak to your doc first about doing a diet as your body needs nutrition to recover and if you do a calorie deficit , you may hinder your recovery lovely xx

legocardsagain · 28/09/2018 17:59

Thanks @FuckItPassMeTheWine

Can I ask what exercise you would recommend for lower back pain. It's been about 3 years now, I have nothing wrong with it apparently Hmm I feel like I need to do something to try and strengthen the muscles but not sure what! Thank you so much for all you help on this thread.

Move2WY · 29/09/2018 08:26

@FuckItPassMeTheWine if I did a 20 minute youtube cardio from popsugar first thing will this be ok? Two babies so no chance of me going out running or gym or anything x

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 29/09/2018 13:33

@legocardsagain hello! Yes do some light exercise to try stengthen your back but only do what you can feel you can manage , if you feel “sharp pain” then stop , a dull ache is more your muscles working , in posting the home back workout now xx
@Move2WY sounds great ! I’ve also posted some home workouts so maybe have a go at those when you get time xx Smile

Need to lose another couple of stone and love the idea of your home workouts . I shall be starting Monday

Morning everyone. What a fantastic thread. Super inspiring. I'm definitely following. I'm always in the gym but then my downfall is the eating. I'm happy with my body at 43 years old but always room for improvement as well as picking up fantastic tips.

Oh dear. Major fail. I managed to do cardio again today, but have had a major fail on food. Chicken nuggets and chip + bread and butter pudding. I feel sick. Confused. Bleurgh.
