New thread :). Thought I'd start this one like I ended the last one - Bertie crashed out after a busy day's mischief making.

Have had contact with Juan Struggling a lot at the moment and hasn't been online at all.

Thinking of her and everyone else struggling.

I am on my knees but I will survive! Didn't go back to bed in the end. DH had an even worse night so left him till 8:30 and then they went out to soft play while DD and I had an hour alone in the library. Might go to bed at 7 tonight!

Afternoon
I will ditto magi - poor Juan , hoping she can feel the virtual hugs .
Cake - you are bound to be on your knees.
I have just got back in from planting up at my allotment. The heavens opened, and I had to cower in the shed. I am now very damp, and slightly muddy around the edges. Cup of coffee ( and a naughty biscuit) then up for a bath I think .
I do hope everyone else is coping
Thoughts and prayers, winging to Juan xx

Will text her in a bit and let her know. I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

I snoozed on the sofa for half an hour and have been for hot chocolate, a brownie the size of a dinner plate and a good chat with the salt of the earth, so better indeed.

Hugs all round x

Morning all. DS went to bed at 7. I stayed up and read with DD, we both did some colouring sad, but we enjoyed it and then I crawled into bed and watched Three girls (so sad). Went to sleep at 10 only to be woken at 4;55! Thank goodness for Demand TV and Thomas the tank engine! Bit early for Gin

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Hope you've had a bit of feet up time cake and the sun is shining on gardens and allotments.

The boys enjoyed the Feast, the maypole was performed (with hitches, they've only been able to practice once in the 2 weeks since the major fair due to rain), ds2 spent all his money on the bottle tombola and won - big bottle of lemonade, can of diet coke, bottle of pink cava, bottle of purple WKD, bottle of wine and half bottle of wine. Plus a box of after eight mints. Ds1 had a free burger for helping on stalls and didn't spend anything.

Picture is the plaited Maypole, they fluffed up the unplaiting a bit.

Just read Graham Norton's problem pages in yesterday's Telegraph which had a 70yo widow thinking about new love - which had me in years.

Pops head around the door, with a 5 minutes sit before I start making a meal.
Been very busy today, mostly at the allotment, but have just planted up three big hanging baskets. Still some pots to do yet ( DD2 hasn't brought her spring one back!)
Lovely day, so nice to work outside with sleeves rolled up, and no jacket or jumper.
That maypole looks impressive Chasing - DS 2 quids in too :)

Popping head round the door, sorry for the paint splodges Smile

Finally got round to doing another coat of paint in the bathroom. Stupid knee still swollen and woke me up through the night and at 5.30 but I couldnt stand the mess any longer!

Hugs to all who need them, glad Juan is starting to feel better but I know Mondays are hard for her.

Bucketing rain from mid morning started off so nice too.

Better go and clean up bathroom, no rest for the wicked Smile

also popping head around the door.
glad to hear that Juan is starting to feel better . It's never an upward curve, its always troughs and peaks.
magi - sounds wonderful - we used to go rambling many years ago - its just a wonderful thing, and the best weather for it.
Willow - do you do that 'opening doors with bum or elbow ' so you don't touch anything, then feeling pleased, and the see you actually have ....
I have Just finished potting up stuff in the greenhouse, cup of coffee due

Book I always get paint everywhere on me! Mostly hands as I wipe as I go if I catch the woodwork or something! Have scrubbed and scrubbed but notice I still have a few bits of paint on me. At least its not in my hair this time (well I think not!)
And the worst thing is it looks like it will need another coat its not drying all even. Worst paint ever!
