Hello long time lurker but decided to post for advice. Please be nice to me!

You've done the right thing op.

Honestly, why on earth would he think you'd want to meet him?

A man in his 50s and twenty years older than you, a known liar and cheat, a man who lied into his wife's face every day for two years, a man who allowed other people to think his mistress's child was his, a man who has had seven single years to contact you but cba until now.

Yes he sounds like a right prize. The confidence of some men never ceases to amaze me. Glad you've dragged your self esteem out of the gutter.

Valentine2 · 17/01/2017 20:47

It's lovely to see this out come fluffy. Congrats on being a total winner for your son and yourself Flowers

Bigfluffybear · 17/01/2017 21:14

You want us to enable you to go back to this rat? Eh no

I agree that dragging ur son into the life of a married man was shocking like who does that? You knew that was wrong young or not

Have the cheat but dont expect encouragement with reconnecting with him frankly your a homewrecker

user1478860582 · 17/01/2017 22:25

Homewrecker? If he was blissfully happy at home he wouldn't of had an affair.

Bigfluffybear · 17/01/2017 22:27

I wasnt the one who was married fudge.

SparklyMagpie · 17/01/2017 23:35

But you was the one who was fucking a married man for when years ?

SparklyMagpie · 17/01/2017 23:37

If by messing up sugarpie you mean sleeping with a married man, then yes, I come from another planet Hmm

Bigfluffybear · 17/01/2017 23:41

This is all just details. I didn't meet him today and can't turn the clock back.

I wouldnt sleep with a married man n do that to another woman

BusterGonad · 18/01/2017 05:51

Fluffy I've had my eye on this thread for a few days, can I just say well done for blocking him and canceling meeting up with him. It must be hard when he had an emotion crutch on you but you've done the right thing, don't just met him because you are scared of being single forever, you won't be and even if you are it's better then settling for a man who would cheat on you without a moments thought. Good luck Op the right man will come along when you least expect it.

OliviaStabler · 18/01/2017 09:10

Wish you all the best Fluffy

Bigfluffybear · 18/01/2017 09:40

I see you've cancelled, and good for you.

I'd be very interested - very interested indeed - to hear why he and his wife divorced. and not from his lips, from hers.

Bigfluffybear · 18/01/2017 21:28

Thanks salvage. Had a really good night with my son Smile

I just read this fluffy, good decision. I find ex partners come out of the woodwork occasionally usually when they have just finished another relationship. I always ignore them. What you had is in the past.

You sound like a lovely mum and a clever focussed woman, crack on with your life, look forward not back xxxx

BlueParrott · 19/01/2017 16:18

Just revisited this. Dont be scared of being alone. Agree with pp you sound like a fab mum x

Movingout · 09/04/2018 09:51

Everybody on here seems to be very harsh and extremely judgemental, had he been happily married he wouldn't have had an affair and would not now be divorced. Life is hard and comes in shades of grey, I think you should contact him, you obviously had deep feelings towards him and who knows where it may lead. I'm just off to take a friend for chemotherapy, life's too short, enjoy it while you can. I'm sure I'll be flamed for this but hey ho.
