I don't know what to do. I work in a smallish team and we all get on really well. I was at university with my immediate boss about 10 years ago, we knew each other, but not all that well and I hadn't seen him until I started this job last year. I have just come out of a 5 year relationship and he has been single for the last year or so since his engagement broke up. We were working late to meet a dealine last night and were joking around, I have no idea what came over us but we were both being a little flirty and we ended up kissing. I went back to his apartment and we ended up in bed together. I never do this! Now I'm really worried about seeing him at work on Monday. Should I just act like it never happened or try and speak with him about it? I feel like a total idiot, and can't believe I did this.

I'm grinning from Ear to ear, you know you will marry each other don't you?

HaveILostMyMind · 06/11/2016 21:50

Home again, being good on a "school night" Smile His brother called round after dinner and it turns out I used to play hockey with his wife! Small world. Have butterflies about tomorrow. Any wisdom? Just style it out? Blush

My advice would be to lock the door if you're both at the photocopier.Smile

ummizoomi · 06/11/2016 22:36

So cute! I love those days when u feel so ridiculously happy and excited. Enjoy

HaveILostMyMind · 06/11/2016 22:59

Lol - lock the photocopier room, check. I'm worried I'll just end up grinning like a loon and everyone will know. I feel like a giddy teenager. Blush

GiddyOnZackHunt · 06/11/2016 23:53

I had a moment with an old uni friend in 1998. We spent a lot of time giggling at the fact we were snogging the face off the person from university and how unlikely was that?
Not long now to our 15th wedding anniversary :)

Adarajames · 07/11/2016 00:29

Awww cute Smile

Themanfrommancc · 07/11/2016 08:25

Listen, there doesnt have to be anything in it. If a man is gifted the chance to have sex then 9 times out of ten, he will grab it. Simples

Small "crisis" - have been smacked in the face by a clients Ex and am on way to A&E. Someone has called work to explain. Just had a text from himself (what do I call him now?! problem for another time maybe) to say he's dumping his work and coming up. Would that be normal boss procedure? Or will everyone suspect? Should I tell him stay where he is cause I'm ok? Probably I should be more worried about my poor squashed face. Grin grinning because I'm fine probably concussed

Aww this thread has just made my lunch hour!

That's a shocker about the slap, hope you are ok.

Let him be your knight in shining armour Grin

Somerville · 07/11/2016 13:14

That's normal boyfriend procedure rather than boss. Grin

Hope you're not too badly injured.

SirNiallDementia · 07/11/2016 13:14

Oh my goodness, you poor thing. I hope you are OK?

Probably fine he comes to hospital, if one of my team was injured at work I'd go to the hospital with them or to see them (especially if he was fit!)

What sort of wrong un hits someone in the face like that? Please do press charges.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/11/2016 13:17

A boss might help an employee that had been attacked. He may have to advise you on making a statement or decide to move your client to someone else?
Don't worry too much about that now, just concentrate on getting better. Poor you.
I think your love hormones are stopping you feeling pain Grin.

It's touching that he's so concerned.

Ilovewillow · 07/11/2016 13:17

Enjoy it for what it is, take it slow and don't overthink it! This has made me smile! I had a ONS with a colleague on a training course, that was 21 yrs ago and we've been together ever since and have two children ! You never know!!

Dozer · 07/11/2016 13:29

V sorry indeed to hear that you've been assaulted.

Normal boss procedure, especially since the assault was at work /work related, eg they have duty of care for you, and you could (theoretically) claim damages from your employer. This kind of thing is amongst the reasons why he should disclose the situation to HR and could well both be in trouble if you don't.

hellsbellsmelons · 07/11/2016 13:34

What a lovely thread - until you got smacked in the face - obviously.
I hope he's with you and everything is OK.
And I really hope you don't have to spend too long in A&E.

HaveILostMyMind · 07/11/2016 13:53

Fractured cheek and eye socket, a concussion and a ladder in my new tights (good job I have smoothy legs today) Not that fellas smartest idea, but if you're going to punch someone in the face I reckon you should definitely do it in front of a Judge, three police officers and 10 lawyers. I'm guessing he's been arrested. Boss man has arrived and I have unceremoniously thrown up on his shoes. I'm sure nothing says keeper more than that so my work here is done. Blush

blackhairbrush · 07/11/2016 13:56

Definitely a keeper.

So sorry to hear that you've been so badly injured Flowers
