How old were you when you had a child?

I'm worrying about this. At work, anyone who reaches 30 seems panicked if they're not on their way to having a baby.

I'm nearly 30 and still single so nowhere near having children!

24 first, 28 second and 33 third with numerous miscarriages inbetween. Would have loved more but stopped on Consultants advice-too risky.

situatedknowledge · 02/06/2016 22:30

35, 37, 39.

chanice · 02/06/2016 22:31

17,18 and 22. I'm 23 now.

TinyDancer69 · 02/06/2016 22:32

Fell pregnant at 42 and had gorgeous DS at 43! You have loads of time!! 😀

EnoughOfTheFootball · 02/06/2016 22:35

25 and 27, I was too young, love my DSs but wish I'd waited. Your age is fine.

Got married at 18. Planned pregnancy at 32 and had our son at 33. Will try for another one by the end of the year hopefully.

BieneBiene · 02/06/2016 22:41

I don't have any yet.

I'm 29. I got married this year and we are still discussing it. Apart from the whole giving birth bit which terrifies me we are just not ready. We need to sell this house, figure out where to live and get better at adulting first.

I don't see it happening until I'm 35 at least.

SmallestInTheClass · 02/06/2016 22:42

34 and 36.

JustABigBearAlan · 02/06/2016 22:45

32 and 35 - and at 32 I was the youngest in my Nct group!

Kelpie78 · 02/06/2016 22:46

34 & 37. Things happen in their own time.

DragonboysMum · 02/06/2016 22:51

19, 21, 36, 37.

DP still thinks we should try for one more!

KnitFastDieWarm · 02/06/2016 22:52

I was 28. DS is now six months old, I'm about to turn 29 and I've go no plans to try another until I'm into my thirties! He's a delight though Smile

TheScottishPlay · 02/06/2016 22:53

31

Solo · 02/06/2016 22:54

34 and almost 43. I don't think the actual age you are matters as much as being ready emotionally. Mine weren't choices, they were both surprises, but it took me 14 years to get Ds, so he was a big surprise. My biggest regret is the gap between the two of them; they have nothing in common and have never really played together.

LocatingLocatingLocating · 02/06/2016 22:55

30 and 32.
However, I'm 40 now and a surprising number of my 40yo friends have recently had babies. And I have a few 39/40yo friends who are thinking of TTC.

Frecklesfrecklesfreckles4 · 02/06/2016 22:56

25 when I had my first and 46 when I had my last!

LuluJakey1 · 02/06/2016 22:58

35 1/2, am now almost 37. Talking about TTC number 2 but not ready yet.

danadas · 02/06/2016 22:58

18, 20 and 28. Now 33 and consider myself to have plenty of time for one more

PuppyMonkey · 02/06/2016 23:01

30 and 40 when I had mine

I'm 50 this year.... ShockConfused

zen1 · 02/06/2016 23:02

31, 34 and 36. I was the first in my group of friends. DC1 was unplanned (DP and I had only been living together for 6 weeks when I found out).

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 02/06/2016 23:02

21, 22, 24 & 26. Felt completely done after DC3 but now haven't ruled out a 5th as DC4 seems to have set me off again. DH isn't so sure but has agreed that we won't make any decisions for about 5 years.

Upallnight9 · 02/06/2016 23:05

39 with my first. 41 with my second. I left it too late and god I'm knackered. Smile

ElllieB1 · 02/06/2016 23:08

I was married at 23, had my first at 26 & another at 29. I was one of the first to have kids, but it's lovely now theyre older and I can sit back when all my friends & cousins are the ones running around after babies & toddlers now. I'm so glad I had them when I did, divorced now and know that I will have to find a partner with kids because I'm enjoying getting my freedom back and don't fancy doing all the baby stuff again, but mid 30's seems to be the norm in my group of friends.

Salene · 02/06/2016 23:08

34 with first and 36 now and 30 weeks pregnant
